[QUOTE="Gyani Jarnail Singh, post: 145109, member: 189"] Ambarsariah Ji. My dad did take out one such and give him a whack - bothphilosophical and physical. This man was a stingy poker who lived just across the Gurdawra and had a large garden full of flowers..BUT he made it a habit to walk around the Gurdwara garden (planted by my dad who was granthi) and pluck flowers...wash them..and then place them NOT on the ground in front of the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji..BUT ON the Rumallah covering the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. dad told him a few times nicely and politley...that water drips on to the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji...and spoils the paper etc. But he persisted saying as a HINDU, he has to follow the Practise whereby the IDOL has flowers showered on it. dad told him..look here..first of all Gurbani condemns such actions whereby LIVING CREATIONS are plucked and rendered DEAD and then showered on the "embodiment of the creator"..pati torreh malnii.patee patee jeeo....the gardner breaking flowers when hes supposed to care for them...and secondly Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is NOT a IDOL..so just matha tek the flowers near the goluck....when dad saw him doing the same thing the enxt morning...he lost his cool..and rest is history..my dad was not named DALER for nothing...and the best part..the man stopped placing wet flowers on the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji rumallahs and beagn to matha tek in front of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji like all of us do... 2. I didnt pay any ATTENTION then..or I may have DISCOVERED many such "Khandas and Guru nanaks jis face, EK oangkaar etc etc on those WET Rumallahs long ago...Back then in the 1960's Sikhs were NOT so sophisticated i guess...so we just replaced the wet rumallahs with new dry ones...OR...Sikh sangats DIDNT "NEED" such "miracles" to have a reason to come visit the Gurdwara....back then we came each Sunday punctually because the Karrah parshaad tasted heavenly...and Sikhs didnt suffer from diabetes/heart disese like now which forces most of us to take a TINY speck of parshaad !!!...so YES..the "miracle" may be necesary to bring the sangat back to the Gurdwara !!!
