[QUOTE="Loveisthereason, post: 219151, member: 22190"] I take a different approach to this subject. I don't think sakhis etc are the problem. I think that in the subcontinent and possibly worldwide, mental health issues are not addressed. People who believe in super men and superstition today are what needs tackling. I have no qualm with accepting that my Guru's were special beings and that they may have had special powers, but I don't live my life by it I know that those time space variables were different. To me whether or not miracles occurred are not the issue, the issue today is about serious mental health issues, there are people within SIKHI who follow the cult of decay within society, they look to physical attributes of holy men and women as if this means something, they are easily seduced by the nefarious cults which have been cultivated by covert intelligence agencies, they are engrossed by money and power and become "trend climbers". Applying gurbani to our lives is not an easy thing to do, for the last century the practice of SIKHI has been to listen to kirtan and partially be present at a recital of gurbani. I like the fact that people are starting to understand gurbani for themselves with a view to applying this in the market place of ideas but we should never chuck the baby out with the bathwater.
