[QUOTE="Pathfinder, post: 212253, member: 21250"] I was watching chardikala TV that broadcasts live from Bangla Sahib Gurudwara like any other day. The morning Katha today was by Banta Singh Ji - it shot through my heart. I simply had no option but share it with the sangat here. Many may be aware of what he said but I was not - and it was a revelation. I am sure it will be a inspiring find in case anybody was unaware of the same. While stating the fact that Amrit Sanchar was being mocked upon by endless swindlers in holy disguises - he was trying to address the fact that a lot of Jathas were makng a mockery of the same. Like some are omitting the Dasam Grant Banis and reciting just two Nitnem Banis. Some making 7 Sitaras instead of 5 Pyaras etc. In short he stressed on the fact that these guys were dead wrong and how. Go back he said - let's picture the birth of the Khalsa. One pyara held the sarlob bata with one hand while churning Amrit with the kirpan using the other and reciting the Japji Sahib. The other four Pyaras held the bata with each of them holding the bata with both their hands. Each pyara recited one Nitnem Bani each - 5 Bani's. This is where Banta Singh ji suddenly takes you to the vantage point and knocks you out. Have a look he says - 9 hands holding the bata, churning the Amrit, the Bani resonating all around and within. The Nine Nanak's surround the bani while the last Nanak churns the gist of the wonder and serves it to us on a platter. That's profound, unreal. I don't know - I am still reeling in the afterglow of such a exhilarating insight. The Nanak"s never ceases to amaze and force us to look deeper like always. I am sorry if I did sound like a boy with a new toy. But I can't help being amazed and full of wonder even now. I can't wait for the Katha to be uploaded on you tube so I can watch it again. On second thoughts if I cannot even control my excitement how can I hope to conquer the bloated ego of mine, lol. Whatever, for now I am still in a pleasently shocked state. And I am loving it...
