As per Sikhism, a Singh is required to wear 5 Kakaars (5 Ks) which are:
1. Kesh
2. Kangha
3. Kachhera
4. Kirpan
5. Kara

Considering above as five Ks, let us discuss their importance, significance and relevance in today's times.

This thread is created for discussion of Kangha Kakaar specifically. Please discuss.

Kangha, a wooden comb is an essential part of the Sikh dress, to keep the hair tidy and clean, mainly to maintain hygiene. Gurus ordered sikhs to treat kesh with utmost respect.

whats the significance of it being wooden, is it just tradition?
IT IS a tradition of sorts but also due to wood being non conductive and doesnt produce static electricity like for example plastic.
secondly having a wooden kangha makes it a bit more exclusive - plastic combs are a dime a dozen...!!!

Yes Gyani ji, as you said - wood being non conductive and doesnt produce static electricity like for example plastic.

Personally, I feel soft wood on body (including skull below head hair) has good effect on blood circulation.
