Dear japjisahib04 ji I just read what you wrote about mool manter. It is only my thinking. First we don’t have any one who have heard Nanak by his/her ears. We can only think what Nanak said in mool manter. Every one can be right because there is no one to correct us or approve it. My thinking is Nanak never daid ek-ong-kar. If you read older text it was not written that way. It was written as ek-omkar. Further We do not have Nanak’s own hand written any where. Nanak can not write as a symbol of ek-ong-kar. It is gurmukhi symbol. There was no gurmukhi at the Nanak’s time. I believe Nanak said there is only one god or ek aum. Hindus even now say aum before starting any thing. Nanak was born in Hindu religion and all his philosophy is based on Hindusm. Sat-naam: Sat mean power the power can not be created nor can it be destroyed. Naam mean shabd. Shabd(sound, dhun) which can not be destroyed. Karta purkh: doer is one purkh. He alone creates life. Nirbhau” He have no fear Nirvair: He has neither enemy nor friend. All are equal to him. Akal Murat: He have no physical body. Ajuni Sai bhangh: He is not born nor he dies. Guru-Parsad: The Naam is only guru can bless. No one else. When one write poem we do not write one thing twice in short poem. First Nanak saysek-ong-kar and then Karta Purkh that is twice in one line. No writer can do that. So it was not ek-ong-kar it must be ek aum. Kar was added after by other people not by Nanak. Nanak says only guru can give Naam no one else. But the question is what was that Naam? Nanak did not made it clear. In those days and even now only guru give naam which we have to do the simran. As stated in SGGS to do simran. Nanak says in SGGS about Naam. Did he gave Naam to any one or he kept it secret to him self? Nanak clearly tell to yogis that his guru is shabd. But there again he did not tell what is that shabd that make dhun. Shabd is word when we speak that word the sound comes out of person’s mouth. In SGGS there is sloke unhad shabd baje? What does it mean? Unhud mean with out any instrument the sound is heard. How can one heard sound with out any instrument? That is the dhun by Naam. In the bagging there was word, word was with God, God is word. We have to lean to make dhun with out any instrument then we can be enlightened. Not by reading the guru’s vani. There is sound then ultra sound then super sound. All three from just one naam. Keep it in mind the sloke kotan men kote. I am not trying to convince you to my thinking I am just sharing what I has experienced.
