As we saw earlier, this Postulate corresponds to the first part of the Shahada, which is "La Illa ha il Allah" ("There is no god but Allah").</p><p></p><p></p><p>This Postulate is critical in understanding the way constant and eternal patterns are recorded in science. Since Allah is the One Who is Absolute and Eternal, His Nature, which we know through His Attributes, is also Eternal and this Eternal Nature is reflected in His Holy Principles, which are in turn reflected in the material world (third Postulate) through Light (Second Postulate). The Principle of Eternity therefore describes how timeless scientific realities are coming into existence from Allah's own Eternal Attribute.</p><p></p><p></p><p>This first Postulate separates the Creator, Who is Eternal and Absolute, from creation, which is temporal and relative. This is the missing piece of Einstein's Special Theory of Relativity, and this is why he felt as if his Theory was somehow incomplete. Indeed, the Eternal Existence of God, exalted is He, has also a role to play in science.</p><p></p><p>b - Explanation of the 2nd Postulate:</p><p></p><p></p><p>The 2nd Postulate states that: "Light is the Link between Allah and creation". This Postulate is very useful in understanding the dual nature of Light (wave and particles properties) and the velocity limit of matter in our universe. This velocity limit is what Einstein discovered. In a nutshell, the velocity limit is the maximum speed at which any particle in the universe can travel. In this universe, the velocity limit of matter can never be greater than C, which is the Light's velocity. In other words, no particle can travel at a speed that is greater than the speed of Light in the universe.</p><p></p><p></p><p>We stated earlier that this Postulate is equivalent to the second part of the Shahada: "Muhammadan Rasul Allah" ("Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah").</p><p></p><p></p><p>In the Holy Quran, Prophet Muhammad (SAW) is referred to as a "LIGHT" (NUR) by Allah (SWT). Here are a few quotes from the Holy Quran where Prophet Muhammad (SAW) is presented as a Light:</p><p></p><p></p><p>"O Mankind! There has come to you a proof from your Lord and We revealed to you a clear Light."</p><p>(4:174)</p><p></p><p></p><p>"O Prophet! We sent you as a witness, a bringer of glad tidings and a warner, </p><p>and a caller to Allah by His leave,</p><p>and a shinning lamp."</p><p>(33:46)</p><p></p><p></p><p>Most Islamic scholars agree that the Light that is mentionned in the first Holy Verse (4-174) is a reference to Prophet Muhammad (SAW). Moreover, the second Holy Verse (33-46) refers to Prophet Muhammad (SAW) as a Shining Lamp, which, as we all know, is a source of Light. </p><p></p><p></p><p>Further evidence that Light is an attribute of the Holy Prophet (SAW) is found in the following hadith:</p><p></p><p></p><p>"The first thing Allah created was the Light of your Prophet from His Light, </p><p>and that Light remained in the midest of His Power for as long as He wished, </p><p>and there was not, at that time, a Tablet or a Pen or a Paradise </p><p>or a Fire or an angel or a heaven or an earth. </p><p>And when Allah wished to create creation, </p><p>He divided that Light into four parts and from the first made the Pen, </p><p>from the second the Tablet, from the third the Throne, </p><p>then He divided the fourth into four parts [and from them created everything else]."</p><p></p><p></p><p>Narratted by Jabir Ibn Abd Allah.</p><p></p><p></p><p>Nur, or "Light" in English, is indeed another name for Prophet Muhammad (SAW). We may therefore re-interprete the second part of the Holy Shahada as follow:</p><p></p><p></p><p>"Light is the Messenger of Allah."</p><p></p><p></p><p>Here, we are talking about the Spiritual Reality that has given birth to the concept of Light. As a Messenger of Allah (SWT), Light must come from Allah (SAW). Therefore, it must have a direct relation with Allah (SWT). Furthermore, to convey a Message from Someone implies that there is a recipient for this Message. Otherwise, there is no use of being a Messenger. Therefore, the Messenger must also have a direct relation with the Message's recipient, which is creation.</p><p></p><p></p><p>The following verse proves that the recipient of the Prophet's Holy Message is creation:</p><p></p><p></p><p>"We sent thee not, but as a Mercy to the worlds"</p><p>(21:107)</p><p></p><p></p><p>Regarding this Holy Verse, our Master Mawlana Shaykh Hisham (Q.S.) says in his book The Approach Of Armageddon (on sale online at the Naqshbandi's Islamic Shopping Network):</p><p></p><p></p><p>"Everything that Allah (SWT) has created is included in [the term] alamin ("the worlds"). (...) The Prophet (SAW) as a Mercy to the worlds is correspondingly sent as a Mercy to all of Allah's creation. Anything and everything that is other than Allah is a recipient of His mercy and blessings through the Prophet (SAW)." (p. 59-60).</p><p></p><p></p><p>Therefore, the second part of the Holy Shahada teaches us that Light, as a representation of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), is the Messenger of Allah (SWT). Moreover the Holy Verse stated above ("We sent thee not, but as a Mercy to the worlds") tells us that Light is coming from Allah (through the Reality of "We sent thee") and moving toward creation (through the Reality of "to the worlds"). It then appears clear that Light is the Link between Allah (SWT) and His creation.</p><p></p><p></p><p>The 2nd Postulate of the Principle of Eternity also implies that Light must have two components: a spiritual one representing Akhira, the Heavenly World, and a material one, representing dunya, the material world.</p><p></p><p></p><p>This assertion is verified by a saying (hadith) of the Prophet (SAW):</p><p></p><p></p><p>"I have two faces: one with my Creator and one with creation."</p><p>(Hadith)</p><p></p><p></p><p>One of this hadith's numerous meanings is that the Prophet (SAW), who appears as a Light, has in himself two components: one that is purely Divine and spiritual, and one that represents creation. These two perfect faces of the Prophet (SAW) are eternally present in the scientific composition of Light itself, as we shall see later on inch'Allah.</p><p></p><p></p><p>It is worth noting that the 2nd Postulate, which describes Light, is also the link between the 1st Postulate, which describes Allah's Eternal Attribute, and the 3rd one, which describes the creation's eternal dependance towards Allah.</p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p>c - Explanation of the 3rd Postulate:</p><p></p><p></p><p>The third Postulate states that "the fundamental laws of nature are enslaved to Allah's Eternal Principles". This is the core Postulate of the Principle of Eternity because, as we saw earlier, the first two Postulates ("Allah is the Eternal One" and "Light is the link between Allah's Heavenly Principles and creation") are more or less explicitly described in the Shahada.</p><p>The importance of the first two Postulates is by no means less than that of the third Postulate. However, the third Postulate is critical in the sense that it helps us interprete the first two Postulates through our material world, and more precisely, through the fundamental laws of nature.</p><p></p><p></p><p>According to the third Postulate, our world's scientific theorems and laws are only true because they represent perfect reflections of the Eternal Truth that is contained in Allah's Holy Principles. This Postulate is the reason why 1+1 will always yield 2 for instance. It is not the mathematical addition "1+1" that is true in itself. Rather, it is the Heavenly Reality hidden behind the scientific reflection "1+1" that is eternally true. This Heavenly Reality is eternally true because it is coming from Allah (SWT)'s Eternal Attribute which owns the concept of Eternity.</p><p></p><p></p><p>The Eternal Constraint:</p><p></p><p></p><p>The Eternal Constraint is an interpretation of the Third Postulate. This Postulate implies that the fundamental laws of nature must necesary "follow" Allah (SWT)'s Heavenly Principles. In other words, the fundamental laws are not bound to science. They are bound to Allah (SWT)'s Heavenly Principles. For instance, our mathematical addition "1+1" always yield 2 because of one of Allah (SWT)'s Principles, not because of the mathematical rule of addition. For this very own mathematical rule is also bound to Allah's Heavenly Principles. One may say that the difference is so subtle that it does not actually matter since scientifc rules always hold anyway, no matter what their true Origins are. "1+1" will always yield 2 whether it is because of the mathematical rule of addition or because of a Heavenly Principle, so why do we bother?</p><p></p><p></p><p>The answer is because Allah (SWT)'s Heavenly Principles are so sublime and transcendental that sometimes their scientific reflections stray away from the laws of science. This is where the Eternal Constraint becomes very useful. Since the fundamental laws of nature must always follow Allah (SWT)'s Heavenly Principles, these fundamental laws sometimes have to break the physical barriers of our world in order to keep on reflecting Allah (SWT)'s Heavenly Principles in an accurate way. At that particular stage, the difference between the reality of science and the Reality behind science becomes more obvious. This stage is truly extraordinary to behold because classical physical laws do not hold anymore and scientific thoughts of process are not successful in explaining the fundamental laws' new patterns.</p><p></p><p></p><p>The Eternal Constraint and the Shahada:</p><p></p><p></p><p>The Eternal Constraint, and therefore the Third Postulate, are direct consequences of the first two Postulates. As we stated earlier, the Eternal Constraint corresponds to the movement described by the Shahada : from Allah the Eternal One (through "La illah ha il Allah") to Muhammad, who symbolizes creation (through "Muhammadur Rasul Allah"). As we see, creation always follow Allah (SWT)'s Heavenly Principles because whenever we say "La illah ha il Allah", we follow the statement by "Muhammadur Rasul Allah". Therefore, it is Divine Order for the soul of creation to perfectly follow any Heavenly Reality that is coming from the Divine Presence.</p><p></p><p></p><p>In the case of science, this Divine Movement (creation eternally following Allah (SWT)'s Heavenly Principles) manifest itslelf as a set of fundamental laws of nature. Therefore, what we think of being scientific rules are in fact scientific manifestations of a Divine Movement: that of creation following Allah (SWT) through the zikr ("continuous recitation") of "La illah ha il Allah Muhammadan Rasul Allah"</p><p></p><p></p><p>The concept of the Eternal Constraint is best tasted through the study of Quantum Physics. Quantum Physics is a modern scientific field that tries to explain the strange behavior of infinitly small particles (such as electrons, protons and neutrons). Scientists noticed that infinitly small particles do not behave as classical science predicts they should. Indeed, these small particles seem to obey other laws that cannot be perceived nor understood through science. In fact, these particles are following Allah (SWT)'s Heavenly Principles which cannot be completely understood through classical science.</p><p></p><p></p><p>With Quantum Physics, Allah (SWT) wants to show us some of His Greatness. This science is one of the most Divinely-inspired ones and therefore it has an intimate relation with Religion and Divine Realities. Regarding this statement, many modern scientists acknowledge that Quantum Physics is the only bridge at the moment between science and religion. It is impossible to understand this field without considering Allah (SWT)'s Higher Realities. The theory of Quantum Physics is a Divine Sign (Ayat) and the scientists who did not accept this fact were greatly disturbed by its interpretation.</p><p></p><p></p><p>Erwin Schrödinger, one of the fathers of Quantum Mechanics, said:</p><p></p><p></p><p>"I don't like it, and I'm sorry I ever had anything to do with it"</p><p></p><p></p><p>Neirl Bohr, another founder of the theory of Quatum Physics, commented:</p><p></p><p></p><p>"Anyone who is not shocked by the quantum theory has not understood it."</p></blockquote><p></p>
[QUOTE="truth_seeker, post: 1307, member: 261"] 1 - The 3 Postulates of the Principle of Eternity: The Principle of Eternity is based on three eternal Laws that are stated as Postulates: Next: How Divine Realities are reflected in Science Table Of Contents Guestbook 1st Postulate Allah is the only Eternal Absolute One 2nd Postulate Light is the Link between Allah and the created World 3rd Postulate The fundamental laws of nature are bound to follow Allah's Eternal Principles This Postulate is also known as the Eternal Constraint 2 - The Principle of Eternity and the Shahada: The bold statements made in the above definition of the Postulates surely raise a lot of questions: from where are these three Laws coming? Why are there three Postulates? Why not four? And more importantly, what is the meaning of these Postulates? The 3 Postulates directly come from the Shahada: "La ilaha il Allah, Muhammad-ur Rasul Allah." "There is no God but Allah and Muhammad is His Messenger." Let us first quickly analyze our 3 Postulates (a detailed explanation of each Postulate is provided further down belovw). The 1st Postulate ("Allah is the only Eternal Absolute One") corresponds to the first part of the Shahada: "La illah ha il Allah" - There is no god but Allah." The 2nd Postulate ("Light is the Link between Allah and creation.") corresponds to the second part of the Shahada: "Muhammadan Rasul Allah" - "Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah." The 3rd Postulate ("The fundamental laws of nature must always follow Allah's Holy Principles.") corresponds to the movement described by the Shahada : From Allah the Eternal One (through "La ilaa il Allah") to Muhammad, who symbolizes creation (through "Muhammadur Rasul Allah"). This eternal movement of Divine Concepts is verified by the fact that when we recite Shahada, we start by saying "La illah ha il Allah", then we say "Muhammadan Rasul Allah". Therefore, creation always "follows" Eternity. As one may see, the Principle of Eternity is nothing but a particular interpretation of the Shahada. As such, the Principle of Eternity is not a new discovery. Rather, it is an Eternal Principle, that of the Shahada, which provides adequate and much-needed guidelines to analyze and interprete our temporal laws' behaviors. 3 - Detailed Explanation of the 3 Postulates: a - Explanation of the 1st Postulate: The 1st Postulate states that: "Allah is the only Eternal Absolute One." As we saw earlier, this Postulate corresponds to the first part of the Shahada, which is "La Illa ha il Allah" ("There is no god but Allah"). This Postulate is critical in understanding the way constant and eternal patterns are recorded in science. Since Allah is the One Who is Absolute and Eternal, His Nature, which we know through His Attributes, is also Eternal and this Eternal Nature is reflected in His Holy Principles, which are in turn reflected in the material world (third Postulate) through Light (Second Postulate). The Principle of Eternity therefore describes how timeless scientific realities are coming into existence from Allah's own Eternal Attribute. This first Postulate separates the Creator, Who is Eternal and Absolute, from creation, which is temporal and relative. The Creator is the One Who does not depend on anything, whereas creation totally depends on the Heavenly Laws and Concepts that eternally live His Divine Presence. Such a demarcation is important in order for us to understand the behavior of the fundamental laws of nature. Relativity of Creation: The 1st Postulate implies that creation is relative since Allah (SWT) is the only Absolute One. This relativity is what Einstein discovered. As we shall see inch'Allah, this Law of Relativity has enormous consequences on the scientific and mathematical laws. However, by restraining his theory to Relativity, Einstein omitted its most important implication, which is that God, exalted is He, is the only One who is Eternally Absolute. This is the missing piece of Einstein's Special Theory of Relativity, and this is why he felt as if his Theory was somehow incomplete. Indeed, the Eternal Existence of God, exalted is He, has also a role to play in science. b - Explanation of the 2nd Postulate: The 2nd Postulate states that: "Light is the Link between Allah and creation". In other words, no particle can travel at a speed that is greater than the speed of Light in the universe. We stated earlier that this Postulate is equivalent to the second part of the Shahada: "Muhammadan Rasul Allah" ("Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah"). In the Holy Quran, Prophet Muhammad (SAW) is referred to as a "LIGHT" (NUR) by Allah (SWT). Here are a few quotes from the Holy Quran where Prophet Muhammad (SAW) is presented as a Light: "O Mankind! There has come to you a proof from your Lord and We revealed to you a clear Light." (4:174) "O Prophet! We sent you as a witness, a bringer of glad tidings and a warner, and a caller to Allah by His leave, and a shinning lamp." (33:46) Most Islamic scholars agree that the Light that is mentionned in the first Holy Verse (4-174) is a reference to Prophet Muhammad (SAW). Moreover, the second Holy Verse (33-46) refers to Prophet Muhammad (SAW) as a Shining Lamp, which, as we all know, is a source of Light. Further evidence that Light is an attribute of the Holy Prophet (SAW) is found in the following hadith: "The first thing Allah created was the Light of your Prophet from His Light, and that Light remained in the midest of His Power for as long as He wished, and there was not, at that time, a Tablet or a Pen or a Paradise or a Fire or an angel or a heaven or an earth. And when Allah wished to create creation, He divided that Light into four parts and from the first made the Pen, from the second the Tablet, from the third the Throne, then He divided the fourth into four parts [and from them created everything else]." Narratted by Jabir Ibn Abd Allah. Nur, or "Light" in English, is indeed another name for Prophet Muhammad (SAW). We may therefore re-interprete the second part of the Holy Shahada as follow: "Light is the Messenger of Allah." Here, we are talking about the Spiritual Reality that has given birth to the concept of Light. As a Messenger of Allah (SWT), Light must come from Allah (SAW). Therefore, it must have a direct relation with Allah (SWT). Furthermore, to convey a Message from Someone implies that there is a recipient for this Message. Otherwise, there is no use of being a Messenger. Therefore, the Messenger must also have a direct relation with the Message's recipient, which is creation. The following verse proves that the recipient of the Prophet's Holy Message is creation: "We sent thee not, but as a Mercy to the worlds" (21:107) Regarding this Holy Verse, our Master Mawlana Shaykh Hisham (Q.S.) says in his book The Approach Of Armageddon (on sale online at the Naqshbandi's Islamic Shopping Network): "Everything that Allah (SWT) has created is included in [the term] alamin ("the worlds"). (...) The Prophet (SAW) as a Mercy to the worlds is correspondingly sent as a Mercy to all of Allah's creation. Anything and everything that is other than Allah is a recipient of His mercy and blessings through the Prophet (SAW)." (p. 59-60). Therefore, the second part of the Holy Shahada teaches us that Light, as a representation of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), is the Messenger of Allah (SWT). Moreover the Holy Verse stated above ("We sent thee not, but as a Mercy to the worlds") tells us that Light is coming from Allah (through the Reality of "We sent thee") and moving toward creation (through the Reality of "to the worlds"). It then appears clear that Light is the Link between Allah (SWT) and His creation. The 2nd Postulate of the Principle of Eternity also implies that Light must have two components: a spiritual one representing Akhira, the Heavenly World, and a material one, representing dunya, the material world. This assertion is verified by a saying (hadith) of the Prophet (SAW): "I have two faces: one with my Creator and one with creation." (Hadith) One of this hadith's numerous meanings is that the Prophet (SAW), who appears as a Light, has in himself two components: one that is purely Divine and spiritual, and one that represents creation. These two perfect faces of the Prophet (SAW) are eternally present in the scientific composition of Light itself, as we shall see later on inch'Allah. It is worth noting that the 2nd Postulate, which describes Light, is also the link between the 1st Postulate, which describes Allah's Eternal Attribute, and the 3rd one, which describes the creation's eternal dependance towards Allah. c - Explanation of the 3rd Postulate: The third Postulate states that "the fundamental laws of nature are enslaved to Allah's Eternal Principles". This is the core Postulate of the Principle of Eternity because, as we saw earlier, the first two Postulates ("Allah is the Eternal One" and "Light is the link between Allah's Heavenly Principles and creation") are more or less explicitly described in the Shahada. The importance of the first two Postulates is by no means less than that of the third Postulate. However, the third Postulate is critical in the sense that it helps us interprete the first two Postulates through our material world, and more precisely, through the fundamental laws of nature. According to the third Postulate, our world's scientific theorems and laws are only true because they represent perfect reflections of the Eternal Truth that is contained in Allah's Holy Principles. This Postulate is the reason why 1+1 will always yield 2 for instance. It is not the mathematical addition "1+1" that is true in itself. Rather, it is the Heavenly Reality hidden behind the scientific reflection "1+1" that is eternally true. This Heavenly Reality is eternally true because it is coming from Allah (SWT)'s Eternal Attribute which owns the concept of Eternity. The Eternal Constraint: The Eternal Constraint is an interpretation of the Third Postulate. "1+1" will always yield 2 whether it is because of the mathematical rule of addition or because of a Heavenly Principle, so why do we bother? The answer is because Allah (SWT)'s Heavenly Principles are so sublime and transcendental that sometimes their scientific reflections stray away from the laws of science. This stage is truly extraordinary to behold because classical physical laws do not hold anymore and scientific thoughts of process are not successful in explaining the fundamental laws' new patterns. The Eternal Constraint and the Shahada: The Eternal Constraint, and therefore the Third Postulate, are direct consequences of the first two Postulates. Therefore, it is Divine Order for the soul of creation to perfectly follow any Heavenly Reality that is coming from the Divine Presence. In the case of science, this Divine Movement (creation eternally following Allah (SWT)'s Heavenly Principles) manifest itslelf as a set of fundamental laws of nature. Therefore, what we think of being scientific rules are in fact scientific manifestations of a Divine Movement: that of creation following Allah (SWT) through the zikr ("continuous recitation") of "La illah ha il Allah Muhammadan Rasul Allah" The concept of the Eternal Constraint is best tasted through the study of Quantum Physics. In fact, these particles are following Allah (SWT)'s Heavenly Principles which cannot be completely understood through classical science. With Quantum Physics, Allah (SWT) wants to show us some of His Greatness. The theory of Quantum Physics is a Divine Sign (Ayat) and the scientists who did not accept this fact were greatly disturbed by its interpretation. Erwin Schrödinger, one of the fathers of Quantum Mechanics, said: "I don't like it, and I'm sorry I ever had anything to do with it" Neirl Bohr, another founder of the theory of Quatum Physics, commented: "Anyone who is not shocked by the quantum theory has not understood it."
