This even exist today: to a post graduate Brahimin person I taked about a audio CD on which 'Gayatri Mantra' is recoded 108 times. I was told by him that this is against their religion ans women are not allowed to hear Vedic Chants. What i donot feel very happy with is that the west is Targetting Islam. It will do lot better if they look into their own religion and bring it to conform to the western liberal values. They say that their Prophet was to only son of God.
