Wow ! Harry ji that is a big post! I think it will need some time to read all this , or is this just a summerisation? I will read it tommorow, now I haven´t much time. Harry Haller aka. the Steppenwolf aka. Herman Hesse( yes Herman Hesse -the two letters from Harry Haller - start with his name Herman Hesse - the "H.H" ) have all the same features - if you look at Herman hesse´s life you will find some parallels . I love hwo we writes and explain hisself . The conflicting nature between his two "consciences " are in every human - and here i see similarties with Sikhs . We need to manage the maya and - reach "god" with our mind. We have two consciences - the worldy one and the spiritual one - sant Sipahi - Herman expresses this fragmentation of Haller jis Soul, He tries to find something more than just the shallow folks do - but on other sight he can´t control his animal instincts - everyday is a fight for him, like we sikhs do - many problems are surronding him his environment - is full of hypocrites who don´t understand him - he asks hisself how they can life a simple life like that - why I canot do thiis? Why I can´t live a shallow life?? This is shredding me insight! People don´t think deeper - they just believe everything - they are so naive so infantile - Why can´t I have this kind of happiness? Problems over problems... They only think and have thoughts if it is necessary and try to solve this problems surface and thats enough- but no it isn´t! They eat their bread and doesn´t think about , what is in it - what are its ingredients? Why it has ingredients and where are they from - why in this particular way... They don´t have to worry until their marmelade tastes like ****... Why I can´t understand? I have seen through them but I can not live like this .. Sorry for my bad expression - I think this is hard to understand..and very confusing -. I hope you understand what I mean... Please tell me, if you don´t understand some phrases or have difficulties I will try to explain better - thanks
