[QUOTE="vipkolon, post: 163169, member: 17651"] It is said that this sloka was uttered by the holy tongue of Guru Sahib on a very special occasion. During one of his Udasi, he met Sufi Saint Shaikh Ibrahim (descendant in the lineage of Baba Shaikh Farid). During the conversation between them, Shaikh Ibrahim requested Guru Nanak to reveal him the secret of the real home of human being and the way to reach there. कहा जाता है कि गुरु साहिब ने यह श्लोक एक विशेष अवसर पर अपनी मुबारक जुबान से फरमाया था | अपनी एक उदासी के दौरान आपकी बाबा फरीद की गद्दी के सूफी फकीर शेख़ इब्राहीम से मुलाकात हुई | गुरु साहिब से गुफ्तगू में शेख़ इब्राहीम ने गुरु साहिबान के सामने गुजारिश की, कि हमारा असली घर कौन सा है और हम वहां कैसे पहुँच सकते हैं | गुरु साहिब ने उत्तर में अपने विचार इस शब्द में प्रकट किये हैं : घर महि घरु देखाइ देइ सो सतिगुरु पुरखु सुजाणु ॥ पंच सबद धुनिकार धुनि तह बाजै सबदु नीसाणु ॥ दीप लोअ पाताल तह खंड मंडल हैरानु ॥ तार घोर बाजिंत्र तह साचि तखति सुलतानु ॥ सुखमन कै घरि रागु सुनि सुंनि मंडलि लिव लाइ ॥ अकथ कथा बीचारीऐ मनसा मनहि समाइ ॥ उलटि कमलु अम्रिति भरिआ इहु मनु कतहु न जाइ ॥ अजपा जापु न वीसरै आदि जुगादि समाइ ॥ सभि सखीआ पंचे मिले गुरमुखि निज घरि वासु ॥ सबदु खोजि इहु घरु लहै नानकु ता का दासु ॥१॥ (SGGS 1291) ਘਰ ਮਹਿ ਘਰੁ ਦੇਖਾਇ ਦੇਇ ਸੋ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਸੁਜਾਣੁ ॥ ਪੰਚ ਸਬਦ ਧੁਨਿਕਾਰ ਧੁਨਿ ਤਹ ਬਾਜੈ ਸਬਦੁ ਨੀਸਾਣੁ ॥ ਦੀਪ ਲੋਅ ਪਾਤਾਲ ਤਹ ਖੰਡ ਮੰਡਲ ਹੈਰਾਨੁ ॥ ਤਾਰ ਘੋਰ ਬਾਜਿੰਤ੍ਰ ਤਹ ਸਾਚਿ ਤਖਤਿ ਸੁਲਤਾਨੁ ॥ ਸੁਖਮਨ ਕੈ ਘਰਿ ਰਾਗੁ ਸੁਨਿ ਸੁੰਨਿ ਮੰਡਲਿ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ ॥ ਅਕਥ ਕਥਾ ਬੀਚਾਰੀਐ ਮਨਸਾ ਮਨਹਿ ਸਮਾਇ ॥ ਉਲਟਿ ਕਮਲੁ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਭਰਿਆ ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਕਤਹੁ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥ ਅਜਪਾ ਜਾਪੁ ਨ ਵੀਸਰੈ ਆਦਿ ਜੁਗਾਦਿ ਸਮਾਇ ॥ ਸਭਿ ਸਖੀਆ ਪੰਚੇ ਮਿਲੇ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਿਜ ਘਰਿ ਵਾਸੁ ॥ ਸਬਦੁ ਖੋਜਿ ਇਹੁ ਘਰੁ ਲਹੈ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਤਾ ਕਾ ਦਾਸੁ ॥੧॥ The True Guru is the All-knowing Primal Being; He shows us our true home within the home of the self.
