Sat Nam, Sherab; I am not someone who can properly represent the teachings of Yogi Bhajan. I did not meet him and was not and am not a member of the 3HO organization (Healthy, Happy, and Holy). I have read a lot of YB's lectures however, so I am somewhat familiar with some aspects of his teachings. All I can say about your question is that Yogi Bhajan spoke often of the transition from the "Piscean Age" to the "Aquarian Age." The transition, he says, is a 21 year long period and we are now about 14 years through it. I think 2012 is when we should be fully in the Aquarian Age. Furthermore YB felt that in order for mankind to survive the trials of the transition to the Aquarian age (I think I have that right) he needed to teach yogic methods and bring many many more people to a spiritual lifestyle. I think that was what he was most concerned with when it came to this subject of the Aquarian Age. Some say he taught yoga only to "capture" his audience and that his realy goal was to introduce them to sikhism. I think there is SOME truth in that but I don't think it is the whole story. I do not think these ages have anything to do with Kalijug (Age of Kali?) or tretajug or those others mentioned in in the Siri Guru Granth Sahib (SGGS). We are in the kalijug age for a very very long time yet but I believe I read somewhere (and maybe this was also Yogi Bhajan's teaching) that we are now at the "lowest point" in the kalijug and that from here on mankind's capacity for spirituality will increase again. In the SGGS it is said that in the first age we were all conscious of our soul and its connection to the "Universal Consciousness" (I do not recall what Gurmukhi word was used here for "universal consciousness"). In the 2nd and 3rd ages we became progressively attached to sensual pleasures and to maya of the mind and became increasingly less aware of our own Divinity - our own souls and our connection to the One. So we have gone from "four legs" of support to only one, so it says in SGGS. So, we can jokingly say we only have one leg to stand on during the kalijug. That one "leg" that remains to us, to bring us closer to our own Divinity, is chanting God's praises in the amrit vela and always practicing Naam simran. So, I am sorry I can not really answer your question very well, but this is all I have to offer about it. Wahe Guru Ji Ka Khalsa, Wahe Guru Ji Ki Fateh Nam Hari Kaur, Eugene OR
