[QUOTE="spnadmin, post: 132377, member: 35"] Network Friday, 27 August 2010 HOSHIARPUR: Dal Khalsa Friday criticized the Punjab government for registering case against Baba Baljit Singh Daduwal and others under IPC 295-A for “hurting sentiments” of Dera Sirsa followers. After presiding over the monthly meet of office bearers held here, the party president H S Dhami in a statement castigated Punjab government for arresting Gursewak Singh who played main role in the telefilm “Pakandi Guru” and framing Baba Baljit Singh Daduwal in the case on the complaint of Sirsa Premis. He said the CD released by Baba Daduwal at a public function was meant to awaken the Sikhs from the evil designs of the so-called gurudom that has given challenge to Guruship of Guru Granth Sahib. He said the police under political instruction has arrested and charged those devout Sikhs who were educating masses through CD’s against such heretics. The leaders present in the meeting include Kanwar Pal Singh, Dr Manjinder Singh, Ranbir Singh, Gurdeep Singh and Sarbjit Singh Ghuman demanded withdrawal of the case against all of them. The meeting took stock of the situation arisen after Sikhs of valley received anonymous threatening letters. The resolution adopted during the meeting states that the threatening letters to the Sikhs in the Kashmir valley were part of some deep rooted conspiracy designed by the forces out to sow the seeds of discard between the Sikhs and the Muslims and to divert attention from the real issues on the other. The Sikhs in the valley should neither panic nor over react though while remaining cautious and alert. Sensing the sensitivity and seriousness of the issue, the leaders urged the Kashmiri leadership to dig out truth and exposed the conspiracy. The leaders also condemned Takht Patna Sahib jathedar Gaini Iqbal Singh for issuing directive on ‘Ragmala’ issue. They said Gaini Iqbal Singh has violated the Sikh code of conduct by arbitrary issuing orders that would create more divisions within the Panth. They cautioned the Sikhs against further bickering on religious issues.
