Chandigarh, Dec 27 (IANS) Indian border forces were put on alert along the 553-km-long fenced international border with Pakistan in Punjab Thursday evening following the assassination of former Pakistani prime minister Benazir Bhutto and reports of violence breaking out in some cities in that country.
