I had the privilege of long association with Bibi Jasbir Kaur when Sant Sucha Singh Ji was alive and later till she left for heavenly abode. She was totally dedicated to meditation and music. She listened to every shabad recited at numeours sangeet sammelans and commented positively while carrying out the recordings. Sitting for very long hours often affected her health but she never bothered much for her health. Later her effort to establish a chair for sangeet on the name of Sant Sucha ji at Punjabi university is very painstaking and laudable. The amount of finacial burden she had to face first during the sickness of Sant Sucha Singh ji and later for establishing the chair too was telling on her health. Her long meditation bouts initially under the guidance of Sant Sucha Singh Ji and later independently for months together too affected her health resulting in her demise in the prime like Sant Sucha Singh Ji. Her meditation was a guidance for others as well. Her ecstatic moments are unforgettable and indescribable. Really enlightening were those. I am indebted to her and Sant Sucha Singh ji for their meditation guidance in crucial times. Dr Dalvinder Singh Grewal
