. . . . . .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Baba Isher Singh was personal attendant of Baba Nand Singh Ji of Nanaksar Kaleran. Baba Ji was born in Jhorara Village, Jagraon in the District of Ludhiana, Punjab, India on 26 March, 1913. His father was Sardar Bagga Singh. Upon birth he was named Bhai Inder Singh but Baba Nand Singh Ji changed it to Isher Singh. He was a very pious and devoted person right from his childhood. He celebrated the last "Purunmashi" (full moon) on a grand scale on the 3 October, 1963. He had hinted on a number of occasions that he would have to leave this world for his heavenly abode soon and on 6 October, 1963, after the "Rehras Sahib" prayers he passed away. On 28th of March 2014, almost 50 years after his demise , his followers have declared him the GURU Ishar Singh, at Gurduara sahib Serendah, Malaysia. At one time almost 100 % of the Sikh Gurduaras in Malaysia followed the SIKH REHAT MARYADA with out fail and with great loyalty. However over the years the trend appears to be changing as the great fans of the baba cult in Malaysia scramble to adopt various babas , rather than the Message of Guru Granth sahib. It started with a local revered enity Baba Sohan Singh' barsi celebration-despite the fact he never asked for such and never preached such barsi. The Committee members saw the oportunity to raise monies for the so Malacaa Vidyala,by hoilding one path, which has now become yearly affair with Sikhs arriving from near and far, as the alleged fame of prayers being definitely answered with a gurantee spreads like wild fire. Then some local youth, leading a band, emrged, which was stopped at once. Then a Tir wala baba emerged around Ipoh, who was subsequently dropped just as fast as he rose. Lately, another candidate emerged who was given the title of PANTh rattan BY SOME CLOSE FOLLOWERS, WHO WERE HOPING THAT THEY MAY NOW LEAD ANOTHER rising baba, by declaring him as SANT. But the advent of the computer and internet, for many negatives, also has proved to be positive, catching people in their acts and drawing attention! Thus, this parcharaks followers were caught with their pants down and stopped in their track to declare another SANT! Then some brilliant idea came to some from Singapore, who have foir some years run anotehr sant orintated dera in Johore, in the name of a sant from Punjab. This venture has been slowly attracting sikh customers, but as they consolidate their proeprty, it has remined a somewhat suppressed affair, yearly. Sadh Amar Singh from Nanaksar was banned in Malaysia for many years following allegatiuons of abuse. But last year it all changed, when his followers who appear to have taken over a Gurduara in Serendah, invited him for a private visit! Now on the Friday 29th, these Nanaksarias, decided to hold a akhand path, where they celberated the Birthday of their baba Ishar Singh who was born in 1913, and passed away in 1963! All so good so far,but what they then did was to bring in a cake made to order from a local chinese bakery,[perhaps containing eggs as well]with words Happy Birthday, GURU ISHAR SINGH.Two women and six men;5 with round white turbans and one with saffron turban then carried out an ardas for the BIRTHDAY cake this Guru Ishar Singh, one who had passed away 50 years ago! This act is total abuse, manmat, contravening the Sikh Rehat maryada, abusing the premises of the Gurduara with egg content possibly-- all thes ewhile an akhand path is going on at the same time! Question is,since when was this ishar singh a guru of the Sikhs? Is this not sneaking and polluting the minds of young and unknowing Sikhs with falsehhod and manmat parchar? Is this not an abuse of teh Gurduara premises? These peop-le should be reported to the Akal Takhat. When counter challegned by the writer, these people quickly took off the photos they had so proudly put on the face book page of the one of the follower keramjit kaur shran. Question is..if indeed they were right in doing what they did, then why now try to hide? These are heinous actions against the Sikh panth, by these long haired brahmans.Their acts is brahmanism. With such long beards, are these the actions of a Sikh who follows the panthic maryada? No, not all.Should we close an eye to these issues, and soon find like the second deputy guru dasam that many claim, we will also some brahman maryada, that the Panth for many many years to throw out last century. The more i see of sikh attitudes and mentality, I belief all sikhs are just opportunists, but when the time comes to speak up, they scramble to put on bangles and close an eye.I have seen it.So it is a religion of talkers, but no stand with a spine. Please see link for further photos,as I have had difficulty attaching the files.
