nonsense. Have you been to India? Women are living the dream. Don't have to work or work less then men and in jobs much much less dangerous, stay home with the kids, live longer, don't have to die defending the country but still get to vote, etc! Now that in itself seems like a huge problem but considering the fact that we send men and boys to wars, are more ok with them dieing because we spend less resources protecting them and towards their health... You don't get that anywhere else? This could be true but I have never observed anything like this. Lol that is the world mentality. Every guru in every age has had to preach a spiritual living. This has become worse in materialistic societies, including the west and many areas of India. Are you kidding? Have you read sakhis? That is an offensive statement above. To suggest that a culture is so horrible that even it's own people hate it when there are people from that culture flooding the forum, is not not good coming from a mod. There are many things wrong with punjabi culture and there are many things right about it, when you belong to a completely different culture. What I find really sickening is people on this forum disrespecting the culture, beliefs and practices of others like this, finding areas to poke at without acknowledging the good. They have nothing positive to say, they only spew out negativity. And I wonder if this is what comes out of their mouth, what is going on in their head, and in other areas of their life. They must be suffering a lot and then it begins to sadden me.
