Hallelujah, Halleluyah, and the Latin form Alleluia are transliterations of the Hebrew word הללויה (Standard Halleluya, Tiberian Halləlûyāh) meaning "Praise Yah".[ Source: Wikipedia I think Hallelujah has the same place in Judaism as Waheguru in Sikhi.
