The following verses in Zafarnama (as posted by Vijayadeep Ji in other forum) reminded me of another contraversial historical debate... its is debated that the following verses were not written by Guru Ji.

Have scholars reached any consesus on this issue ?

I dont know. It seems a bit sarcastic at the same time. If it was infact written by Guruji, I think hes poking fun at Aurangzeb by "praising" him. Its perhaps a way to reprehend him for what he had done at the battle of chamkaur, by breaking his oath on the holy quran etc. I know if I were aurangzeb and I read those verses in the context of the rest of the Zafarnama, I would probably be humiliated and upset infront of Guruji's humility. Indeed there was probably no other than Guru Gobind Singh, he is certainly amazing. Dhan Dhan Guru Gobind Singh.
