:happymunda:I went to see a friend who is hindu bania and is a surgeon but he is very much interested in the teachings of Sahib Shri Guru Nanak Devji and Shri Guru Granth Sahib ji. He is well versed in Gurbani and knows the meanings and "Tat Saar" , I mean "TAT GURMAT" more than me. We had a discussion about Gurbani and I was bemused with WISMAAD by his philosphical approach to Gurbani. At the end He asked me one question ," Dear friend what do you think, wheather I am a Sikh or not?"
I tried to convince him about the sikh rehat maryada and sikhism in toto but still I will Like to get the comments from the learned people.:confusedmunda:

    Respected dr.gsmann

The question is not an easy one to answer. It fills up hours of discussion. Please search the forum for threads on this subject. Currently there is a great thread under discussion that touches on some of the deepest aspects of your question. It is called "Mere Sikhi." I think you will enjoy it.

Since you're here... we have a small favor to ask...

More people are visiting & reading SPN than ever but far fewer are paying to sustain it. Advertising revenues across the online media have fallen fast. So you can see why we need to ask for your help. Donating to SPN's is vote for free speech, for diversity of opinions, for the right of the people to stand up to religious bigotry. Without any affiliation to any organization, this constant struggle takes a lot of hard work to sustain as we entirely depend on the contributions of our esteemed writers/readers. We do it because we believe our perspective matters – because it might well be your perspective, too... Fund our efforts and together we can keep the world informed about the real Sikh Sikhi Sikhism. If everyone who writes or reads our content, who likes it, helps us to pay for it, our future would be much more secure. Every Contribution Matters, Contribute Generously!
