A fight between two teenagers last night during a holiday celebration inside a Sikh temple left one boy in hospital and the other in police custody.Police were called to the Ontario Khalsa Darbar temple in Mississauga near Dixie and Derry roads just before 9 p.m., where they found the boy, 14, who had been stabbed.

He was taken to hospital in stable condition.
Police arrested a second boy at the scene. Peel Police spokesman Constable Adam Minnion said the attack was not random.
"The victim did know the suspect and there was a pre-existing ongoing dispute between the two," he said. "It was inside the temple and it was an isolated incident."

A man answering the phone at the temple said a fight broke out and one of the boys grabbed a kitchen knife that had been laid out at a nearby table with food during evening prayers. After the victim was stabbed, "he laid down in the kitchen," said the man, who did not give his name. Police would not comment on what was used in the stabbing.
The stabbing came during the Sikh holiday of Vaisakhi, which includes a nighttime ceremony and the serving of food at the temple.
