Those who seek humble guidance from the pious, such are saved. Nanak, denigrating the pious encumbers one in repetitive births.

Asatpaḏī.
Eight stanzas hymn

Sanṯ kā ḏokẖī i▫o billā▫e. Ji▫o jal bihūn macẖẖulī ṯaṛafṛā▫e.
One hurtful of the pious, bewails so as. As fish writhes without water.

Sanṯ kā ḏokẖī bẖūkẖā nahī rājai. Ji▫o pāvak īḏẖan nahī ḏẖarāpai.
One hurtful of the pious, is hungry not satiated. Just as fire does not have enough of firewood.

Sanṯ kā ḏokẖī cẖẖutai ikelā. Ji▫o bū▫āṛ ṯil kẖeṯ māhi ḏuhelā.
One hurtful of the pious, is left all alone. Just as a baron sesame plant looking as though having burnt seeds.

Sanṯ kā ḏokẖī ḏẖaram ṯe rahaṯ. Sanṯ kā ḏokẖī saḏ mithi▫ā kahaṯ.
One hurtful of the pious, is devoid of piteous faith. One hurtful of the pious, always lies.

Kiraṯ ninḏak kā ḏẖur hī pa▫i▫ā. Nānak jo ṯis bẖāvai so▫ī thi▫ā. ||6||
One that disparages has been so destined from the beginning. Nanak, what the such (creator) likes, such comes to pass.
ESSENCE: In the salok, Guru ji describe the importance of company of the pious and the futility of denigrating the pious. Salvation comes in the company and restless transformations follow ill will towards the pious.

Guru Arjan Dev ji in Astpadi 13, 6th sabad continue characterizing one disparaging of the pious. Such wails in agony as fish out of water, always malcontent just as fire wants more wood to sustain, Loneliness prevails just as a rotten sesame plant with rotten seeds, lying such is devoid of reasoned beliefs.

Guru ji conclude that such so exist from the beginning and such may be the wish of the creator.

NOTE: There is marvelous use of metaphors in this sabad to address and convey the audience of the Guru ji's times. It is a dis-service to turn these around as though Guru ji imply belief in any subject(s) of metaphors.
Please note all errors are mine and I stand corrected.
