    Hello everyone

    i have been looking for a particular shabad on the internet and am not having much luck in finding it. If anyone knows a site where i can get hold of the words and the translation to the shabad Hai Hazoor kat dooor batavo by Bhai Sarbjit Singh ji Hazoori Raagi (from his album Hai Hazoor) then i sure will appreciate it.

    Thank-you!

    :)
    It is "hajoor" not "hazoor" Throws all search engines off. This may be it but I did not find it in the Amrit Kirtan Index of Raags, but rather in SGGS per se. So the phrasing may be off. I don't know. I looked in 2 different raag indices. Your transliteration is not spelled the same as in the searchgurbani.com index. But the pronunciation is the same. Such is the English phonetic system!:mad:

    ੈ ਹਜੂਰਿ ਕਤ ਦੂਰਿ ਬਤਾਵਹੁ ॥
    hai hajoor kath dhoor bathaavahu || same as Hai Hazoor kat dooor batavo
    God is present, right here at hand; why do you say that He is far away?

    ਦੁੰਦਰ ਬਾਧਹੁ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਪਾਵਹੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

    Tie up your disturbing passions, and find the Beauteous Lord. ||1||Pause||

    ਕਾਜੀ ਸੋ ਜੁ ਕਾਇਆ ਬੀਚਾਰੈ ॥
    kaajee so j kaaeiaa beechaarai ||
    He alone is a Qazi, who contemplates the human body,

    ਕਾਇਆ ਕੀ ਅਗਨਿ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਪਰਜਾਰੈ ॥
    kaaeiaa kee agan breham parajaarai ||
    and through the fire of the body, is illumined by God.

    ਸੁਪਨੈ ਬਿੰਦੁ ਨ ਦੇਈ ਝਰਨਾ ॥
    supanai bindh n dhaeee jharanaa ||
    He does not lose his semen, even in his dreams;

    ਤਿਸੁ ਕਾਜੀ ਕਉ ਜਰਾ ਨ ਮਰਨਾ ॥੨॥
    this kaajee ko jaraa n maranaa ||2||
    for such a Qazi, there is no old age or death. ||2||

    ਸੋ ਸੁਰਤਾਨੁ ਜੁ ਦੁਇ ਸਰ ਤਾਨੈ ॥

    He alone is a sultan and a king, who shoots the two arrows,

    ਾਹਰਿ ਜਾਤਾ ਭੀਤਰਿ ਆਨੈ ॥
    baahar jaathaa bheethar aanai ||
    gathers in his outgoing mind,

    ਗਗਨ ਮੰਡਲ ਮਹਿ ਲਸਕਰੁ ਕਰੈ ॥

    Well check and make sure that this is the raag. Sometimes the same verses appear in more than one place in Gurbani -- and there slight differences, for example in one spot more lines match, and in other places there are fewer. I don't want to mislead you.

    I don't know about hajoor versus hazoor. The word hazoor did not come up in the search engine or the raag index. That is why I say check and I will look again if you need help.

    In Google, word hazoor appears only 4400 times whereas hazoor appears 51400 times...

    Aman ji

    I was talking about the gurbani search engines. Not Google. Now that you mention it, though, I wonder if Google can find the raag. I didn't try that one.

    Added later

    So now I checked Hai hazoor using Google and the results take me back to this page. And Sikh sangeet is mentioned also. So they have the lyrics I wonder? Whenever I have tried to get lyrics at that site in the past I get a server error message. Don't lyrics have to added to the music files by interested listener? I could never figure that one out.

    there are almost NO usage of the Final Five lettwers of the Punjabi Alphabet..those with the dot...
    Thus Gurbani uses the J HAJOOR while the Pronounciation of Z in Hazoor is from Persian.Both words mean the same..only difference is how we pronounce them...IF its HAJoor..then say it that way. Now adays many people like to be different...and make up their won pronounciations...BUT IF the MEANING chnages..then we have to pronounce it the way its MEANING is indicated and not as it is written...as in SAH...the pronounciation is SHAH...if the emaning indicated is wealthy man/landlord/king/emperor etc and not sah as in breath... SIR Sahan de Sah..is Sir shanahn de shah !! Thats why a shudh Gurbani teacher with adequate knowldege of Gurbani garmmar etc is pre requisite for correct learning of Gurbani..it cannot be self taught.
