I am trying to understand how to know when to pause. I know it is advised with "rahao", I also read it can be advised with a number. I'm reading today's Daily Hukamnama and I see |1| and |2| and |3| and at the end several numbers. |4||4||28|| What do these numbers mean?

    Thanks peacesignkaur

    NamJiwan Kaur Ji -

Pause will come with understanding of Gurbani. As you continue on this path and pursue meanings of Shabads / words, you will know when to pause ?
There are forced pause - for example Rahao || end of Line ||
There are pauses inbetween sentence - can be one pause or more depends on your understanding of Gurbani.
