i think you can use leisure or general section

Yes, poetry can go in the General Section or the Leisure section. Also in Life Styles. There is even a poetry thread called Poetry Corner and it is in Sikh, Sikhi, Sikhism. You can even start a poetry blog in the Members' Blog section - see link at the top of your screen. Easy to start a blog too.
