JALANDHAR: Canadian-Sikh Veerender Jubbal was once again wrongly branded as an Islamic terrorist on Friday when his morphed picture with the Quran was posted on Twitter, blaming him for the Nice attack.

The same picture was circulated on Twitter immediately after the Paris attacks in November last year, blaming him for the same.
This time, one `Saint Jon (Crumb)?', with Twitter handle @OfficialSamHyde, tweeted: "French Muslim Veerender Jubbal reportedly involved in #Nice terror attacks, posted pictures before committing them."

This was circulated several times over. However, some Twitteratis countered the falsehood, one of them being ` Alexander Hamilton' with Twitter handle @ADHamilton91, say ing: "That's a photo-shopped picture that has been used countless times during attacks.Stop propagating false hatred."

Simranjeet Singh, with the handle @SikhProf, who is assistant professor of religion at Trinity University , tweeted: "People are wrongly identifying my Sikh friend as being responsible for the #Nice attack. Please help end the rumours."
