[QUOTE="Gyani Jarnail Singh, post: 92403, member: 189"] Dear Antonia Jio, Gurfateh. Dont you get the sinking feeling that perhaps such "dark forces" are still hard at work even today ? Wittness the "missing" hundreds of valuable handwritten manuscripts, ancient birs, hukmnamahs, etc etc which went "missing" during 1984 and have never seen the light of day even after 24 years ? The Sikh Reference Library was seen by reliable eyewittnesses to have been set on fire after it was emptied of all contents. Eye wittnesses reveal that the stuff was packed in gunny bags and loaded abroad Army Transports and taken away....up till today NO ONE..from PM to President of India..Defence Minsiter etc wants to say where this material all went and why it is beign with-held...and to top it all its "return" is LOWEST on SGPC/Badal Govt agenda....they half heartedly shoot off a letter or two to the Central govt ?? when pressure from sikh soures becomes too hot...and then its back to the cooler room... With modern resources available to GOVT SOURCES....whereby even currencies of neighbours are counterfeited to extremely high standards...."counterfeiting" and interpolating various agendas INTO these "authentic" sikh historical documents..and then releasing them slowly back into circulation to cause conflicts etc would be an easy job... This is ONE REASON why all "SIKH" history/writings etc etc MUST be weighed in at the touchstone of GURBANI in the SGGS as we have it today....anything that even remotely clashes with GURBANI must not be acepted at face value. We are lucky that the SGGS as it is is so widely available that countereiting it is impossible...although there are attempts being made to lay some "conflict" at its door step..doubts on Bhagat bani, Bhatt bani Bhai Sunder Jis bani etc etc are being actively pursued at many stations....so that Sikhs may begin to doubt the GURU....and fall easy prey to those varied agendas...active promotion of spurious books is part and parcel of casting doubt on sggs as the SOLE GURU of Sikhs. It si imperative that SIKHS have cast iron faith in the GURU SGGS and ONLY SGGS. Thus the Vaars Kabits etc must be tested on the touchstone of GURBANI in SGGS....and only those that PASS this LITMUS test will be accepted as genuine..others as interpolated at some phase in time.
