With due permission. i start gurbani wichar. i read 4 pages of sggs daily and today page 204. the translation is my own.please join and discuss. there will be no argument from me.
ਗਉੜੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ Gauree, Fifth Mahalla;

ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮਿਲਬੇ ਕਉ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਮਨਿ ਲਾਗੀ ॥

I have a desire in my mind to meet God.

ਪਾਇ ਲਗਉ ਮੋਹਿ ਕਰਉ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕੋਊ ਸੰਤੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਬਡਭਾਗੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

I will touch his feet and pray if I can fortunately meet with a saint. ||1||Pause||

ਮਨੁ ਅਰਪਉ ਧਨੁ ਰਾਖਉ ਆਗੈ ਮਨ ਕੀ ਮਤਿ ਮੋਹਿ ਸਗਲ ਤਿਆਗੀ ॥

I surrender myself and place my wealth in front of Him. I have totally renounced my ego.

ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਹਰਿ ਕਥਾ ਸੁਨਾਵੈ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਫਿਰਉ ਤਿਸੁ ਪਿਛੈ ਵਿਰਾਗੀ ॥੧॥

Whoever tells me God’s discourse; I will follow him all the time. ||1||

ਪੂਰਬ ਕਰਮ ਅੰਕੁਰ ਜਬ ਪ੍ਰਗਟੇ ਭੇਟਿਓ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਰਸਿਕ ਬੈਰਾਗੀ ॥

When the previous deeds showed up, I humbly met the devotional renunciate person.

ਮਿਟਿਓ ਅੰਧੇਰੁ ਮਿਲਤ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੀ ਸੋਈ ਜਾਗੀ ॥੨॥੨॥੧੧੯॥

O God; meeting him the darkness of mind has disappeared and I have been awakened from sleep of many lifes. ||2||2||119||

O my mind, sing the praises of the name of God.

ਨੀਤ ਨੀਤ ਹਰਿ ਸੇਵੀਐ ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਈਐ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

Worship God all the time and recite His name in every breath. ||1||Pause||

ਸੰਤਸੰਗਿ ਹਰਿ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ॥

In the society of saints, Lord dwells in the mind.

ਦੁਖੁ ਦਰਦੁ ਅਨੇਰਾ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਨਸੈ ॥੧॥

Pain, suffering, darkness and doubt depart. ||1||

ਸੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਾਪੀਐ ॥ ਸੋ ਜਨੁ ਦੂਖਿ ਨ ਵਿਆਪੀਐ ॥੨॥

One who recites God by the grace of a saint; shall not suffer any pain. ||2||

ਜਾ ਕਉ ਗੁਰੁ ਹਰਿ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੁ ਦੇ ॥

Those to whom the guru gives the lesson of God;

ਸੋ ਉਬਰਿਆ ਮਾਇਆ ਅਗਨਿ ਤੇ ॥੩॥

Rises above the fire of worldly wealth. ||3||

ਨਾਨਕ ਕਉ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮਇਆ ਕਰਿ ॥

Be kind to Nanak, O God;

ਮੇਰੈ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਵਾਸੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਹਰਿ ॥੪॥੭॥੧੪੫॥
so that the name of God dwells in my mind and body

Pardon my ignorance swarn jee, guru sahib in this pankti is not referring to 'saint' or God in physical body but in full humility godly virtues.

O brother; listen this strange feeling. Guru has explained such a teaching!

ਲਾਹਿ ਪਰਦਾ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਜਉ ਭੇਟਿਓ ਤਉ ਬਿਸਰੀ ਤਾਤਿ ਪਰਾਈ ॥੩॥

When I surrendered to the Lord removing the veil; l gave up ill feeling of others. ||3||

ਕਹਿਓ ਨ ਜਾਈ ਏਹੁ ਅਚੰਭਉ ਸੋ ਜਾਨੈ ਜਿਨਿ ਚਾਖਿਆ ॥

I cannot explain this strange feeling; only those who taste it know it.

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਚ ਭਏ ਬਿਗਾਸਾ ਗੁਰਿ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਰਿਦੈ ਲੈ ਰਾਖਿਆ

Says Nanak; true happiness have emerged enshrining guru’s teaching in the mind. ||


ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਹੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਮੀਤਾ ਇਹੈ ਸਾਰ ਸੁਖੁ ਪੂਰਾ ॥

O my friend; recite the name of God. This is the essence of complete peace.

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣੁ ਨਿਵਾਰੈ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਨ ਕੀ ਧੂਰਾ

In the company of devotees; birth and death are eliminated. Nanak is the dust of the feet of devotees

Swarn Bains ji great effort from yourself. I know it requires much more effort but if you can possibly give a gist of each shabad in your own words at the end of line by line, it will make your presentation tremendously more glorious.

For example in the following last pangti;

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣੁ ਨਿਵਾਰੈ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਨ ਕੀ ਧੂਰਾ

In the company of devotees; birth and death are eliminated. Nanak is the dust of the feet of devotees

For me Guru ji is explaining or teaching that: The question of being born and dying is resolved in the company of pious people. It is simply a continuum in nature for me. Guru ji simply address that in front of such a crowd of pious, he is as worthless as dust at their feet. So just an expression of humbleness and also recognition that even such a difficult question when so answered requires utmost expression of gratification.

thank u for your comments. i only have so much time and understanding. i cannot go any further. dear sir you have taken the interest and you are a scholar as well. i will be very thankful if you take up this side of the explanation. as they say one alone but two make eleven. i am looking forward to your help. gurbani has no limit. if u join me or anyone else for that matter. gurbani wichar will flourish and will be help to humanity. i will keep putting these stanzas here after reading most of the time. but if u can be kind enough to explain. it will be a great help to all of us.

Sorry Swarn Bains ji I am not able to do what you suggested at the present time. I was quite engaged and willing to do the same but my circumstances have changed and I am much less engaged in such activities right now.

Literal translations for me right now just give more words to express thoughts and I have used Sant Singh Khalsa ji's work in this regard before. Literals do not convey the essence most of the time what Guru ji are teaching. Specially to those who are Punjabi and Punjab environs limited but otherwise would love to understand Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji.

From what I see you are doing one shabad a day. You should perhaps slow down but provide understandings/gist as you see it. Use Sant Singh Khalsa ji's work as a starting point as it will save lot of time for you and vary it where you differ only. Good luck regardless in your continuing and worthwhile efforts.

O devotee; this mind cannot be understood, it is uncontrollable.

ਚੰਚਲ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਸੰਗਿ ਬਸਤੁ ਹੈ ਯਾ ਤੇ ਥਿਰੁ ਨ ਰਹਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

Fickle desires dwell with it, so it cannot remain stable. ||1||Pause||

ਕਠਨ ਕਰੋਧ ਘਟ ਹੀ ਕੇ ਭੀਤਰਿ ਜਿਹ ਸੁਧਿ ਸਭ ਬਿਸਰਾਈ ॥

The violence and anger is in the body that erased thinking about.knowledge


ਸਾਧੋ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਕੇ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਉ ॥

O devotee; sing the praise of God.

ਮਾਨਸ ਜਨਮੁ ਅਮੋਲਕੁ ਪਾਇਓ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਕਾਹਿ ਗਵਾਵਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

Attained the priceless birth of a human! Why are you wasting it? ||1||Pause||

Without money, you cannot buy anything from the shop.

ਬਿਨੁਬੋਹਿਥ ਸਾਗਰ ਨਹੀ ਵਾਟ ॥

Without a boat, you cannot cross the ocean.

ਬਿਨੁ ਗੁਰ ਸੇਵੇ ਘਾਟੇ ਘਾਟਿ ॥੫॥

Without serving the guru, everything is a loss. ||5||

ਤਿਸ ਕਉ ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਜਿ ਵਾਟ ਦਿਖਾਵੈ ॥

Hail to the one; who shows the way.

ਤਿਸ ਕਉ ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਜਿ ਸਬਦੁ ਸੁਣਾਵੈ ॥

Hail to the one who teaches me guru’s teaching.

ਤਿਸ ਕਉ ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਜਿ ਮੇਲਿ ਮਿਲਾਵੈ ॥੬॥

Hail to the one who unites me with God. ||6||

ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਤਿਸ ਕਉ ਜਿਸ ਕਾ ਇਹੁ ਜੀਉ ॥

Hail to the one who owns this soul.

ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੀ ਮਥਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪੀਉ ॥

Churn and drink the nectar through guru’s teaching.

ਨਾਮ ਵਡਾਈ ਤੁਧੁ ਭਾਣੈ ਦੀਉ ॥੭॥

The honor of Your name has been attained by Your grace. ||7||

ਨਾਮ ਬਿਨਾ ਕਿਉ ਜੀਵਾ ਮਾਇ ॥

How can I live without God’s name; O mother?

ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਜਪਤੁ ਰਹਉ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਣਾਇ ॥

Day and night I recite Your name and dwell in Your sanctuary.

ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮਿ ਰਤੇ ਪਤਿ ਪਾਇ ॥੮॥੧੨॥

O Nanak, attuning to the name, honor is attained. ||8||12||

ਹਿਰਦੈ ਸਾਚੁ ਵਸੈ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਇ ॥ ਕਾਲੁ ਨ ਜੋਹਿ ਸਕੈ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇ ॥

If truth dwells in the mind reciting God’s name! Death cannot look over your shoulders.

ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੯॥੧੪॥

O Nanak; the guru willed merges with God through guru’s teaching.

The ego of the guru-willed (guru’s follower) disappears.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮੈਲੁ ਨ ਲਾਗੈ ਆਇ ॥

No filth sticks to the guru-willed.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਸੈ ਮਨਿ ਆਇ ॥੨॥

The name of God dwells in the mind of the guru-willed. ||2||

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਕਰਮ ਧਰਮ ਸਚਿ ਹੋਈ ॥

Truth is the deed and code of conduct of the guru-willed;

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਅਹੰਕਾਰੁ ਜਲਾਏ ਦੋਈ ॥

The guru-willed burns away ego and duality.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਰਤੇ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੋਈ ॥੩॥

The guru-willed is attuned to the name and attains peace. ||3||

ਆਪਣਾ ਮਨੁ ਪਰਬੋਧਹੁ ਬੂਝਹੁ ਸੋਈ ॥

Attaining divine knowledge in your mind realizes God.

ਲੋਕ ਸਮਝਾਵਹੁ ਸੁਣੈ ਨ ਕੋਈ ॥

You may preach other people, but no one listens.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਮਝਹੁ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੋਈ ॥੪॥

The guru-willed understands and attains eternal peace.

ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਡੰਫੁ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਚਤੁਰਾਈ ॥

The self-willed (follower of own mind) the liars think themselves very clever.

ਜੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਮਾਵੈ ਸੁ ਥਾਇ ਨ ਪਾਈ ॥

Whatever they do attains nothing.

ਆਵੈ ਜਾਵੈ ਠਉਰ ਨ ਕਾਈ ॥੫॥

They come and go and find no place to rest. ||5||

ਮਨਮੁਖ ਕਰਮ ਕਰੇ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਅਭਿਮਾਨਾ ॥

The self-willed perform egotistic deeds!

ਬਗ ਜਿਉ ਲਾਇ ਬਹੈ ਨਿਤ ਧਿਆਨਾ ॥

They sit like storks pretending to meditate.

ਜਮਿ ਪਕੜਿਆ ਤਬ ਹੀ ਪਛੁਤਾਨਾ ॥੬॥

When arrested be the devil of death they regret! ||6||

ਬਿਨੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸੇਵੇ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਨ ਹੋਈ ॥

Without serving the true guru, liberation cannot be obtained.

ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਮਿਲੈ ਹਰਿ ਸੋਈ ॥

By guru’s grace, one meets the Lord.

ਗੁਰੁ ਦਾਤਾ ਜੁਗ ਚਾਰੇ ਹੋਈ ॥੭॥

Guru is the bestowal throughout the four ages. ||7||

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜਾਤਿ ਪਤਿ ਨਾਮੇ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥

For the guru-willed; God’s name is the status symbol and higher caste.

ਸਾਇਰ ਕੀ ਪੁਤ੍ਰੀ ਬਿਦਾਰਿ ਗਵਾਈ ॥

The worldly wealth has been destroyed.

ਨਾਨਕ ਬਿਨੁ ਨਾਵੈ ਝੂਠੀ ਚਤੁਰਾਈ ॥੮॥੨॥

O Nanak, without the name. Clever tricks are false. ||8||2||

ਅੰਧੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੇ ਭਰਮੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥

Those whose guru is spiritually blind; their doubts are not dispelled.

ਮੂਲੁ ਛੋਡਿ ਲਾਗੈ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਈ ॥

Abandoning the source, they are attached to the love of duality.

ਬਿਖੁ ਕਾ ਮਾਤਾ ਬਿਖੁ ਮਾਹਿ ਸਮਾਈ ॥੩॥

Infected with evil they merge in the evil. ||3||

ਮਾਇਆ ਕਰਿ ਮੂਲੁ ਜੰਤ੍ਰ ਭਰਮਾਏ ॥

Believing in worldly wealth the source of all, they wander in doubt.

ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਵਿਸਰਿਆ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਏ ॥

They have forgotten God and they are in love with duality.

ਜਿਸੁ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇ ਸੋ ਪਰਮ ਗਤਿ ਪਾਏ ॥੪॥

Whoever God blesses attains salvation. ||4||

ਅੰਤਰਿ ਸਾਚੁ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਸਾਚੁ ਵਰਤਾਏ ॥

They are truthful inside and do truthful deeds outside.

ਸਾਚੁ ਨ ਛਪੈ ਜੇ ਕੋ ਰਖੈ ਛਪਾਏ ॥

Truth cannot be hidden even if one wants!

ਗਿਆਨੀ ਬੂਝਹਿ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਏ ॥੫॥

The knowledgeable understands intuitively. ||5||

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਾਚਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਏ ॥

The guru-willed truthfully puts his mind to the truth.

ਹਉਮੈ ਮਾਇਆ ਸਬਦਿ ਜਲਾਏ ॥

Guru’s teaching burns the worldly wealth and ego.

ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਾਚਾ ਮੇਲਿ ਮਿਲਾਏ ॥੬॥

My true God unites them with Him. ||6||

ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਦਾਤਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਸੁਣਾਏ ॥

The guru, the giver, preaches his lesson.

ਧਾਵਤੁ ਰਾਖੈ ਠਾਕਿ ਰਹਾਏ ॥

He stabilizes the wandering mind.

ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਸੋਝੀ ਪਾਏ ॥੭॥

Real understanding is obtained through the perfect guru. ||7||

...ਬਿਖੁ = poison and not evil. Gur Ghar quite often uses the word ਬਿਖੁ to denote from a substantive perspective the harm to one's self and not to another. Evil falls within the ambit of morality, that is, right n wrong, good n bad, etc. inflicted presumably, which is not what the verse is referring to.

With creator teachings in my heart I am blissful.
Says Nanak; true happiness have emerged enshrining guru’s teaching in the mind. ||

ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਹੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਮੀਤਾ ਇਹੈ ਸਾਰ ਸੁਖੁ ਪੂਰਾ ॥
If I contemplate upon creator, this way I am in total comfort.
O my friend; recite the name of God. This is the essence of complete peace.

Obviously way less perfect translation or interpretation but just a refreshing or alternate way to look perhaps.

i love it. when i did it i was scared of the society. now you are opening up the minds of the scholars. thanks . if some more people like u join this endeavour, we will be able to open the secret of gurbani.
not like changing into sanskirt, latnizing or making a grammar game. please keep writing and let us join. if some more scholars join and then we all can get together and re translate the entire sggs to the understanding of the common folks. s s a

Serving the guru, one commits to the name of God.

The lucky one obtains it.

ਤਿਸ ਕੈ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਰਵਿਆ ਸੋਇ ॥

The Lord dwells in their hearts.

ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਸੀਤਲੁ ਨਿਹਚਲੁ ਹੋਇ ॥੧॥

Their minds and bodies become peaceful and stable. ||1||

ਐਸਾ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਕਰਿ ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ ॥

O my mind, sing such praises of the Lord.

ਈਹਾ ਊਹਾ ਜੋ ਕਾਮਿ ਤੇਰੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

It will help you here and hereafter. ||1||Pause||

ਜਾਸੁ ਜਪਤ ਭਉ ਅਪਦਾ ਜਾਇ ॥

Reciting Him, fear and misfortune depart;

ਧਾਵਤ ਮਨੂਆ ਆਵੈ ਠਾਇ ॥

The wandering mind becomes stable.

ਜਾਸੁ ਜਪਤ ਫਿਰਿ ਦੂਖੁ ਨ ਲਾਗੈ ॥

Reciting His name there is no more sufferings.

ਜਾਸੁ ਜਪਤ ਇਹ ਹਉਮੈ ਭਾਗੈ ॥੨॥

Reciting His name the ego goes away.

ਜਾਸੁ ਜਪਤ ਵਸਿ ਆਵਹਿ ਪੰਚਾ ॥

Reciting His name the five senses come under control.

ਜਾਸੁ ਜਪਤ ਰਿਦੈ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਸੰਚਾ ॥

Reciting His name the mind is filled with nectar.

ਜਾਸੁ ਜਪਤ ਇਹ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਬੁਝੈ ॥

Reciting His name the desires go away.

ਜਾਸੁ ਜਪਤ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਗਹ ਸਿਝੈ ॥੩॥

Reciting His name you are accepted in God’s court. ||3||

ਜਾਸੁ ਜਪਤ ਕੋਟਿ ਮਿਟਹਿ ਅਪਰਾਧ ॥

Reciting His name millions of sins are erased.

ਜਾਸੁ ਜਪਤ ਹਰਿ ਹੋਵਹਿ ਸਾਧ ॥

Reciting His name is reciting of God.

ਜਾਸੁ ਜਪਤ ਮਨੁ ਸੀਤਲੁ ਹੋਵੈ ॥

Reciting His name the mind becomes peaceful.

ਜਾਸੁ ਜਪਤ ਮਲੁ ਸਗਲੀ ਖੋਵੈ ॥੪॥

Reciting His name the filth is removed. ||4||

ਜਾਸੁ ਜਪਤ ਰਤਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਮਿਲੈ ॥

Reciting His name the jewel God is realized.

ਬਹੁਰਿ ਨ ਛੋਡੈ ਹਰਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਹਿਲੈ ॥

Leaving other company, one reconciles with God.

ਜਾਸੁ ਜਪਤ ਕਈ ਬੈਕੁੰਠ ਵਾਸੁ ॥

Reciting His name is as good as living in heaven forever.

ਜਾਸੁ ਜਪਤ ਸੁਖ ਸਹਜਿ ਨਿਵਾਸੁ ॥੫॥

Reciting His name one attains peace and contentment. ||5||

ਜਾਸੁ ਜਪਤ ਇਹ ਅਗਨਿ ਨ ਪੋਹਤ ॥

Reciting His name the inner fire does not bother.

ਜਾਸੁ ਜਪਤ ਇਹੁ ਕਾਲੁ ਨ ਜੋਹਤ ॥

Reciting His name the death does not look over the shoulder.

ਜਾਸੁ ਜਪਤ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਮਾਥਾ ॥

Reciting His name one becomes pure.

ਜਾਸੁ ਜਪਤ ਸਗਲਾ ਦੁਖੁ ਲਾਥਾ ॥੬॥

Reciting His name all sufferings are removed. ||6||

ਜਾਸੁ ਜਪਤ ਮੁਸਕਲੁ ਕਛੂ ਨ ਬਨੈ ॥

Reciting His name everything becomes easy.

ਜਾਸੁ ਜਪਤ ਸੁਣਿ ਅਨਹਤ ਧੁਨੈ ॥

Reciting His name one hears the divine music.

ਜਾਸੁ ਜਪਤ ਇਹ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਸੋਇ ॥

Reciting His name the thinking becomes pure.

ਜਾਸੁ ਜਪਤ ਕਮਲੁ ਸੀਧਾ ਹੋਇ ॥੭॥

Reciting His name the luck changes for the good. ||7||

ਗੁਰਿ ਸੁਭ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਸਭ ਊਪਰਿ ਕਰੀ ॥

Grace of the guru blesses everyone.

ਜਿਸ ਕੈ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੁ ਦੇ ਹਰੀ ॥

One who has been bestowed the lesson of God.

ਅਖੰਡ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਤਿਨਿ ਭੋਜਨੁ ਚੂਰਾ ॥

Uninterrupted, they praise God like the delicious food.

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਿਸੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ॥੮॥੨॥

Says Nanak those who have the perfect guru; ||8||2||

Well done ! To be engaged with the translation of Gurbani is in itself a task worthy of bliss, let alone fame n favour from the Almighty, but first, a little something from me. The translation as I see it is of twofold:
  1. Translation from Gurmukhi to English and then,
  2. interpretation thereof, giving effect to meaning, intention and purpose .
All this on the back of the ideological, theoretical and the metaphorical relationship of Brahm [Ikonkar] with humankind and the cosmos.

ਅਚਰਜੁ ਏਕੁ ਸੁਨਹੁ ਰੇ ਭਾਈ ਗੁਰਿ ਐਸੀ ਬੂਝ ਬੁਝਾਈ ॥
I have come to know such a wisdom from the creator.
O brother; listen this strange feeling. Guru has explained such a teaching!
ਅਚਰਜੁ = extraordinary; ਬੂਝ = understanding of comprehensive material, intellect; ਬੁਝਾਈ = extinguished, quenched, thus:
O brother, listen to this extraordinary wisdom of the Guru with which the intellect is extinguished..
ਲਾਹਿ ਪਰਦਾ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਜਉ ਭੇਟਿਓ ਤਉ ਬਿਸਰੀ ਤਾਤਿ ਪਰਾਈ ॥੩॥
When i just get rid of this shroud and become with the creator, I don't feel desire for things of others.
When I surrendered to the Lord removing the veil; l gave up ill feeling of others. ||3||
ਲਾਹਿ ਪਰਦਾ = remove veil; ਬਿਸਰੀ = forgotten; ਤਾਤਿ = ill feelings; ਪਰਾਈ = others, another's.
..veil now removed, I have met the Lord and forgotten all the ill feelings for others.

ਕਹਿਓ ਨ ਜਾਈ ਏਹੁ ਅਚੰਭਉ ਸੋ ਜਾਨੈ ਜਿਨਿ ਚਾਖਿਆ ॥
I cannot talk about this as you will know when you taste it.
I cannot explain this strange feeling; only those who taste it know it.
This extraordinary joy cannot be said for only those who have tasted it, know.
