    Respected Forum Members -

So many of my friends on SPN and other Sikh Networks have wished me a Happy New Year. Mine will be spent with family and friends. How will you celebrate?

    1. Will you bhangra?
    2. Go to Gurdwara? :star:
    3. Party all night New Year's Eve and sleep late New Year's Day?
    4. Visit family and friends? :star:5. Be visited by family and friends?
    6. :pGo into isolation because you hate noise and confusion?
    7. Go a kirtaan performance -- maybe all night? :star:8. Host a kirtaan performance at your house?
    9. Read a book?
    10. Take a short trip or a long trip to somewhere you have never been?
    11. Take a short trip or a long trip to somewhere you have visited frequently?
    12. Go into a state of semi-consciousness? Sleep? ::cool::
    13. Meditate and pray all day?
    14. Eat and watch television?
    15. See a play, go to the movies?
    16. All of the above?
    17 Some of the above?
    18. None of the above? Please specify.:ice:

I didn't celebrate at all. What's to celebrate? The movement of an arbitrarily created calendar? I don't see any significance in that to the functioning of my life.

    Aad Ji,

While I can add on to that wishful thinking list, I did most of what you mentioned, not in one day but in 15 days. :ice:

I made my new year eve a memorable one. When it was midnight the whole sangat in the gurdwara were singing along with the beautiful Tera Naam, Tuhi tuhi, etc.

This is close enough a description :-
YouTube - bhai manpreet singh ji(tuhi-tuhi)
