Salok.
Salok (Core theme of eight sabads/hymns in the Astpadi)

Sargun nirgun nirankār sunn samāḏẖī āp. Āpan kī▫ā nānkā āpe hī fir jāp. ||1||
By self the formless one is with worldly entanglements, without such and by self in voided contemplation. Nanak, so self created and such so seeks understanding.

Asatpaḏī.
Eight stanzas hymn

Jah abigaṯ bẖagaṯ ṯah āp. Jah pasrai pāsār sanṯ parṯāp.
Where the unseen creator, but with the pious learner self is. Where such spreads out the world, such is spread to increase the fame of the pious.

Ḏuhū pākẖ kā āpėh ḏẖanī. Un kī sobẖā unhū banī.
Both sides are owned by such. Praise of such, only suitable for such.

Āpėh ka▫uṯak karai anaḏ cẖoj. Āpėh ras bẖogan nirjog.
Self creates games, enjoys such amusements. Self enjoys the pleasures but unaffected.

Jis bẖāvai ṯis āpan nā▫e lāvai. Jis bẖāvai ṯis kẖel kẖilāvai.
One so desired, so brings close to self. One so chosen, such plays out the game.

Besumār athāh agnaṯ aṯolai. Ji▫o bulāvhu ṯi▫o Nānak ḏās bolai. ||8||21||
Innumerable, cannot be gauged, indefinable, so unperturbed. Nanak humble servant so speaks, as one causes to speak.
Quote:
ESSENCE: In the salok, Guru ji state describe the duality of the creator with worldly and without worldly interactions. One that has created all but still seeks the understanding.

Guru Arjan Dev ji in Astpadi 21, 8th and final sabad of the Astpadi state that the pious most notably are a reflection of various creator’s virtues. Creator is the master of duality and praise so belongs to the creator. The creator so carries out the creation so pleasurably. The understanding in closeness comes to those so blessed and chosen.

Guru ji conclude that the infinite in dimensions so guides for one to discourse.
Please note all errors are mine and I stand corrected.

Sat Sri Akal.
