Hello everyone

i have been looking for a particular shabad on the internet and am not having much luck in finding it. If anyone knows a site where i can get hold of the words and the translation to the shabad Hai Hazoor kat dooor batavo by Bhai Sarbjit Singh ji Hazoori Raagi (from his album Hai Hazoor) then i sure will appreciate it.

re: Shabad Lyrics and Translation

gagan ji

It is "hajoor" not "hazoor" Throws all search engines off. This may be it but I did not find it in the Amrit Kirtan Index of Raags, but rather in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji per se. So the phrasing may be off. I don't know. I looked in 2 different raag indices. Your transliteration is not spelled the same as in the searchgurbani.com index. But the pronunciation is the same. Such is the English phonetic system!

re: Shabad Lyrics and Translation

Well check and make sure that this is the raag. Sometimes the same verses appear in more than one place in Gurbani -- and there slight differences, for example in one spot more lines match, and in other places there are fewer. I don't want to mislead you.

I don't know about hajoor versus hazoor. The word hazoor did not come up in the search engine or the raag index. That is why I say check and I will look again if you need help.

re: Shabad Lyrics and Translation

Aman ji

I was talking about the gurbani search engines. Not Google. Now that you mention it, though, I wonder if Google can find the raag. I didn't try that one.

Added later

So now I checked Hai hazoor using Google and the results take me back to this page. And Sikh sangeet is mentioned also. So they have the lyrics I wonder? Whenever I have tried to get lyrics at that site in the past I get a server error message. Don't lyrics have to added to the music files by interested listener? I could never figure that one out.
