<blockquote data-quote="pk70" data-source="post: 87227" data-attributes="member: 5889"><p><strong>Why we are happy while being robbed?</strong></p><p> </p><p> As in worldly approach, the poor are those who have nothing materialistically. In spiritual world, this fact is laughed at as an illusion and without being in His love; one is poor regardless worldly achievements. So there is a line drawn, either go along with those who are in an infatuation with the race to achieve wealth, name and assets or follow who have inimitable wealth of spirituality where mind stands still and immaculate from Maya.</p><p> Wandering in both worlds is a self deception because while standing, no one can say he/she is sitting or vice versa. These complex states of minds are defined by both worlds in different way; in materialistic world, every thing is shown to see, to feel and to grab it; however in spiritual world, it is expressed with circumspect approach of giving examples of those who experienced it. Later is more into faith in those who had it. One has to be a mother to enjoy the ecstasy of labor because words could hardly express that.</p><p> Right in the context of spiritual motifs, Fifth Nanak makes aware his followers to wake up from a slumber in a much pruned style, here it is</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="color: maroon"><span style="font-family: 'AnmolUniPr'"><a </p><p> The eyes, the ears and the tongue take control of the mind, and the mind is fully occupied, “who is God, I shall see later on” attitude is blossoming with in. It is said repeatedly in Gurbani, one must consider to be blessed to have this human body, it is time to devote time in His praise; however, busy senses are bribing the body to intrigue the mind to hang in there. Spiritual aspect is being evaporated moment by moment. It is about being aware of the fact that this life is His blessing to be with Him and not to be engrossed in this world drama. This Maya that incites to fall for temptation needs to be understood.. There is a race for it, in this race, happiness remains elusive. All this keeps the mind unaware of what is being taken away from the soul. The robbery takes place and we witness it smilingly, literally we are helping to complete it.</p><p> <strong><span style="color: blue"><span style="font-family: 'AnmolUniPr'"><a href="http://www.srigranth.org/servlet/gurbani.dictionary?Param=%E0%A8%B8%E0%A8%97%E0%A8%B2" target="_blank"><span style="font-family: 'Raavi'">ਸਗਲ</span> </a><a href="http://www.srigranth.org/servlet/gurbani.dictionary?Param=%E0%A8%B8%E0%A8%B9%E0%A9%87%E0%A8%B2%E0%A9%80" target="_blank"><span style="font-family: 'Raavi'">ਸਹੇਲੀ</span> </a><a href="http://www.srigranth.org/servlet/gurbani.dictionary?Param=%E0%A8%85%E0%A8%AA%E0%A8%A8%E0%A9%88" target="_blank"><span style="font-family: 'Raavi'">ਅਪਨੈ</span> </a><a href="http://www.srigranth.org/servlet/gurbani.dictionary?Param=%E0%A8%B0%E0%A8%B8" target="_blank"><span style="font-family: 'Raavi'">ਰਸ</span> </a><a href="http://www.srigranth.org/servlet/gurbani.dictionary?Param=%E0%A8%AE%E0%A8%BE%E0%A8%A4%E0%A9%80" target="_blank"><span style="font-family: 'Raavi'">ਮਾਤੀ</span> </a></span></span></strong><strong><span style="color: blue"><span style="font-family: 'Mangal'">॥</span></span></strong><strong><span style="color: blue"><span style="font-family: 'AnmolUniPr'"><a href="http://www.srigranth.org/servlet/gurbani.dictionary?Param=%E0%A8%97%E0%A9%8D%E0%A8%B0%E0%A8%BF%E0%A8%B9" target="_blank"><span style="font-family: 'Raavi'">ਗ੍ਰਿਹ</span> </a><a href="http://www.srigranth.org/servlet/gurbani.dictionary?Param=%E0%A8%85%E0%A8%AA%E0%A9%81%E0%A8%A8%E0%A9%87" target="_blank"><span style="font-family: 'Raavi'">ਅਪੁਨੇ</span> </a><a href="http://www.srigranth.org/servlet/gurbani.dictionary?Param=%E0%A8%95%E0%A9%80" target="_blank"><span style="font-family: 'Raavi'">ਕੀ</span> </a><a href="http://www.srigranth.org/servlet/gurbani.dictionary?Param=%E0%A8%96%E0%A8%AC%E0%A8%B0%E0%A8%BF" target="_blank"><span style="font-family: 'Raavi'">ਖਬਰਿ</span> </a><a href="http://www.srigranth.org/servlet/gurbani.dictionary?Param=%E0%A8%A8" target="_blank"><span style="font-family: 'Raavi'">ਨ</span> </a><a href="http://www.srigranth.org/servlet/gurbani.dictionary?Param=%E0%A8%9C%E0%A8%BE%E0%A8%A4%E0%A9%80" target="_blank"><span style="font-family: 'Raavi'">ਜਾਤੀ</span> </a></span></span></strong><strong><span style="color: blue"><span style="font-family: 'Mangal'">॥</span></span></strong><strong><span style="color: blue"><span style="font-family: 'AnmolUniPr'"><a href="http://www.srigranth.org/servlet/gurbani.dictionary?Param=%E0%A8%AE%E0%A9%81%E0%A8%B8%E0%A8%A8%E0%A8%B9%E0%A8%BE%E0%A8%B0" target="_blank"><span style="font-family: 'Raavi'">ਮੁਸਨਹਾਰ</span> </a><a href="http://www.srigranth.org/servlet/gurbani.dictionary?Param=%E0%A8%AA%E0%A9%B0%E0%A8%9A" target="_blank"><span style="font-family: 'Raavi'">ਪੰਚ</span> </a><a href="http://www.srigranth.org/servlet/gurbani.dictionary?Param=%E0%A8%AC%E0%A8%9F%E0%A8%B5%E0%A8%BE%E0%A8%B0%E0%A9%87" target="_blank"><span style="font-family: 'Raavi'">ਬਟਵਾਰੇ</span> </a></span></span></strong><strong><span style="color: blue"><span style="font-family: 'Mangal'">॥</span></span></strong><strong><span style="color: blue"><span style="font-family: 'AnmolUniPr'"><a href="http://www.srigranth.org/servlet/gurbani.dictionary?Param=%E0%A8%B8%E0%A9%82%E0%A8%A8%E0%A9%87" target="_blank"><span style="font-family: 'Raavi'">ਸੂਨੇ</span> </a><a href="http://www.srigranth.org/servlet/gurbani.dictionary?Param=%E0%A8%A8%E0%A8%97%E0%A8%B0%E0%A8%BF" target="_blank"><span style="font-family: 'Raavi'">ਨਗਰਿ</span> </a><a href="http://www.srigranth.org/servlet/gurbani.dictionary?Param=%E0%A8%AA%E0%A8%B0%E0%A9%87" target="_blank"><span style="font-family: 'Raavi'">ਪਰੇ</span> </a><a href="http://www.srigranth.org/servlet/gurbani.dictionary?Param=%E0%A8%A0%E0%A8%97%E0%A8%B9%E0%A8%BE%E0%A8%B0%E0%A9%87" target="_blank"><span style="font-family: 'Raavi'">ਠਗਹਾਰੇ</span> </a></span></span></strong><strong><span style="color: blue"><span style="font-family: 'Mangal'">॥</span></span></strong><strong><span style="color: blue"><span style="font-family: 'Raavi'">੨</span></span></strong><strong><span style="color: blue"><span style="font-family: 'Mangal'">॥</span></span></strong></p><p> <span style="color: navy"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma'">All the maid companions (senses) are intoxicated with their own relishes.</span></span> <span style="color: navy"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma'">They know not how to guard their own house(body).</span></span> <span style="color: navy"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma'">The five evil passions are the plunderers and highway robbers.</span></span> <span style="color: navy"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma'">The cheats fall upon the unguarded ( not being aware) town(body).</span></span> </p><p> Metaphorically, the followers are infused with the awareness of the soul being robbed of the time to be used for His praise to acquire eternal joy.
Why we are happy while being robbed? As in worldly approach, the poor are those who have nothing materialistically. In spiritual world, this fact is laughed at as an illusion and without being in His love; one is poor regardless worldly achievements. So there is a line drawn, either go along with those who are in an infatuation with the race to achieve wealth, name and assets or follow who have inimitable wealth of spirituality where mind stands still and immaculate from Maya. Wandering in both worlds is a self deception because while standing, no one can say he/she is sitting or vice versa. These complex states of minds are defined by both worlds in different way; in materialistic world, every thing is shown to see, to feel and to grab it; however in spiritual world, it is expressed with circumspect approach of giving examples of those who experienced it. Later is more into faith in those who had it. One has to be a mother to enjoy the ecstasy of labor because words could hardly express that. Pause second. Prayer is necessary; it is a prayer to be in that environment in which His praise becomes ultimate goal. Only this is begged from the Lord because only in the company of those who have realized HIM, one gets aware of this robbery. Chances are bright to over come five primal forces while being in their company. The sources to achieve that goal become crystal clear. Why would we then allow this robbery to take place ever? So man without a religious guidance is like a car without brakes. The Company of His devotees provides those brakes.
