Well, Between 1695 and 1703 Guru Gobind Singh had poets, from his court of 52 poets. Translate the Vedas The Gita and other Hindu text into Punjabi for locals. So they could learn and gain a education. This Account is from Bhai Nand Lal ji a poet in there court. If the Vedas didn't have any context then why would Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj have his poets translate the vedas and other scriptures into Punjabi?? Oddly enough Jaap Sahib written by Das Meh Patshai. Correlates with Rug Veda one of the 4 Vedas. To such an extent I will be further advocating to Add Jaap Sahib to Rug Veda. As the one thing Hinduism is lacking is direct unaudited teachings of BHAGWAN. This is where Guru Nanak Dev ji Maharaj's teachings come into play. This should be later be added to the Hinduism itinerary. You cannot deny any Hindu from accepting Guru Nanak Dev ji as their Guru. Furthermore if Guru Nanak Teaches teachings to Hindu Pandits. That means they must understand Hindu Teachings before they teach the teacher correct! In fact Guru Nanak Dev Ji's teachings will further be & already are added to many itineraries Islamic Itineraries Jewish Itineraries Christian itineraries Catholic Itineraries Jamaica Christian Itineraries... ect. Folks come quick to bash the comparison of Hinduism to Sikhism. Perhaps you forget who the founder of Sikhism is? Guru Nanak Dev ji Maharaj. Who teaches the teachings of Ek Om-Kar (Ek On kar- translated) Meaning one creator. ONE NESS ONE WHOLE! ONE WAHEGURU! NOT 2 SEPARATE... Where in Sikhi does it refer to creating division ? Between Sikhs and Hindu? It doesn't say that. Yet quite clearly in the daily prayers Hindu God's and Goddess are mentioned!! Last I checked all Sikhs come from Hindus. How did we not inherent there teachings? When they themselves took up Khalsa. Prior to Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj Initiating the Khalsa! In 1699 all were considered Hindu! Or Muslim Even though Guru Nanak Dev ji Maharaj Stated there is no Hindu No Muslim! We are the children of the One creator God! Understand the Teachings. Any bit of knowledge helps further your understanding! Knowledge should never be written off! In any circumstance Even if is call The Hindu Vedas!
