Her husband never comes near her and she is always in the state of pain anxiety; Likewise, the religious deeds done by the Manmukh are [like the false decoration of the women whose the Husband remains away from her] all futile he does not even recognize the door that leads to Him and the Lord is never willing to make him His presence known. </p><p></p><p>ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਦਾ ਸੋਹਾਗਣੀ ਪਿਰੁ ਰਾਖਿਆ ਉਰ ਧਾਰਿ ॥ </p><p> ਮਿਠਾ ਬੋਲਹਿ ਨਿਵਿ ਚਲਹਿ ਸੇਜੈ ਰਵੈ ਭਤਾਰੁ ॥ </p><p> ਸੋਭਾਵੰਤੀ ਸੋਹਾਗਣੀ ਜਿਨ ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਹੇਤੁ ਅਪਾਰੁ ॥੨॥ </p><p></p><p>On the contrary to that has been stated above for Manmukh, the One who Is Gurmukh [Guru-oriented person/devotee/seeker/ the one who has sought the sanctuary of the Guru and acts according to Gurmat, becomes pleasing to the Lord. Here the ‘Jeo’ has been referred to as the happy soul bride. He always keep the Lord enshrined in his mind and becomes an humble person as the saintly qualities begin to appear in such a person over a period of time. These persons are full of humility and always speak soft and polite words that are pleasing to all. In this way they become the soul-brides that her pleasing to, their Master i.e. the Lord Himself. In the concluding line of this stanza this has been summed up. Those who are full of love for the Lord and He always abide in their mind always are respected and command great love from the Lord as well. </p><p></p><p>[<em>Author Note</em>: The love of Lord is another precious gift that a devotee can be blessed with. It is the Gurmukh who receives this blessed gift and of meditation on naam and ultimately they get merged with the Lord, the non- changing and ever stable, the ‘sat. </p><p></p><p>[ In Gurbani “another way of addressing the sat guru is ‘sat’; who is beyond the shackles of time and is self-existent.It would be useful to dwell for some time on ‘sat’ and how the various authors and commentators have viewed it: </p><p></p><p>1. Sat is a Sanskrit adjective meaning "the ideal; pure and true essence (nature)" of an entity or existence in the Vedanta. It can thus be concluded as "the self-existent or Universal Spirit, Brahman".</p><p></p><p>2. Sat is the most important virtue which sikhs try to develop during their life. God is Truth and by trying to ‘practise truth’ (i.e. live a truthful life), Sikhs believe that they can live in accordance with God’s will - which teaches that: Truth is not just about speaking the truth but also about recognizing and living in line with the true nature of reality. Acting justly towards others, honesty, treating everyone as equals and avoiding criticising others are all examples of truthful living for Sikhs.</p><p>Sikhs believe that human beings must work at developing all the God-like qualities they have in order to truly love God. Love of God is not just a feeling but always involves showing love for God by selfless service to God’s creation. A person who is Gurmukh does not act out of selfishness but, by focusing on God acts out of compassion for others and becomes the slave of the Lord’s slaves. Thus finding the Lord, he eradicates ego from within.</p><p>Maya and Haumein are overcome by focusing only on God while serving God in creation. Material wealth, fame and praise are unimportant because the Gurmukh is focused on the only thing of lasting value – God - as the wealth of the Naam shall never be exhausted; no one can estimate its worth.The other four qualities in the {censored}nal of five that a Sikh must wear are: Contentment , Compassion, Humility and Love. [ In Gurbani “another way of addressing the sat guru is ‘sat’; who is beyond the shackles of time and is self-existent.It would be useful to dwell for some time on ‘sat’ and how the various authors and commentators have viewed it: 1. Sat is a Sanskrit adjective meaning "the ideal; pure and true essence (nature)" of an entity or existence in the Vedanta. It can thus be concluded as "the self-existent or Universal Spirit, Brahman". 2. Sat is the most important virtue which sikhs try to develop during their life. God is Truth and by trying to ‘practise truth’ (i.e. live a truthful life), Sikhs believe that they can live in accordance with God’s will - which teaches that: Truth is not just about speaking the truth but also about recognizing and living in line with the true nature of reality. Acting justly towards others, honesty, treating everyone as equals and avoiding criticising others are all examples of truthful living for Sikhs.
