Apostateness among rural youth : More than 95% of rural youth ( Jat & Dalits ) have cut their hair , 50 % of middle aged r apostate in villages of Punjab . The rural ladies of villages tease a SABAT SURAT boy as GYANI ( in teasing sense ) as if a Sabat Surat boy is a sort of Namoona ( I can't remember the English name ) . Female foeticide : Following the extremely prosperous Punjabi Hindu Bania community , we have started copying them mindlessly , lavish marriages which go against the tenents of Sikh Rehat Maryada r a craze nowadays forcing the less previliged to follow suit . So unmindful of the consequences , the Sikh ladies r the leaders in aborting the girl child to escape the expenses of marriages & due to artificial preference for a male inheritor .

4 .
Re: Need for a New Apex Body to represent ALL Sikhs...IOSS Conclave 2005 in Chandigar Giani ji deserves all the kudos for a very thoughtful paper . I may add to it that following r the main dangers facing the Panth today in addition to corrupt leadership . These r : 1. This is encouraged by Sants , Babas in addition to Deras like Radha Soamis , Ashutosh , Sacha Sauda , Nirankaris , Ruhani Mission & host lot of others . 2 . Drugs & Intoxicants : It is nothing short of a Paradox , an irony that liquor & each & every intoxicant is prohibted in Sikhism but 95 % of our rural youth consume alcohal , 75 % of them use cigerrates , Zarda , tobacco , poppy husk & even hard drugs like smack etc .The culprits r elders who r anyhow addicted to liquor themselves , police who r complicit in every transaction of drugs & narcotics , Akali leaders ( SAD B ) almost all of whom r involved in supply of poppy husk & smack . Any suggestion of enforcing prohibtion r shot down quoting filmsy grounds . 3 . Female foeticide : Following the extremely prosperous Punjabi Hindu Bania community , we have started copying them mindlessly , lavish marriages which go against the tenents of Sikh Rehat Maryada r a craze nowadays forcing the less previliged to follow suit . In addition the orthodox Hindu mentality is being copied which artificially degrades the status of agirl child as compared to a boy . So unmindful of the consequences , the Sikh ladies r the leaders in aborting the girl child to escape the expenses of marriages & due to artificial preference for a male inheritor . 4 . More r castism especially among Jats , the evil shadow of Brahminism , idol worship , fasting , worshipping graves , visiting astrologers , peers r some other factors needing immediate attention .
