The early Christians in India had a liturgy influenced by Jewish rites (Thomas was Jewish). But there was in this area already a large Jewish community, Knanayas. Again the possibility of points of contact for exchanges of religious ideas and religious documents. That had to be a fertile ground for intellectual activity.
