The Jathedar Sahib was accompanied by the Head Granthi of Bangla Sahib Gurdwara, Giani Ranjit Singh and his wife Sardarni Sukhvinder Kaur.</p><p></p><p>Yogi Bachan was an inspirational leader who had a profound effect on humanity and inspired hundreds of thousands of people to live a healthy, happy and holy life. During his over 30 years of traveling and teaching around the world, he dedicated his life to uplifting humanity through the teachings of Kundalini Yoga and the sacred teachings of Sikh Dharma.</p><p></p><p>Sikh Dharma International hosted the Jathedar’s visit, and arranged his program while he was in the United States. The Jathedar Sahib and Giani Ji addressed the International Khalsa Council, a leadership council of Sikh Ministers from around the world, on Saturday morning.</p><p></p><p>On Saturday evening, they addressed the Sangat at the 10th Anniversary Commemoration program, where the Joint Resolution of the US Congress honoring the Siri Singh Sahib was read. The Siri Singh Sahib’s distinguished life and the importance of his teachings were recognized in April 2005 by the US Congress.</p><p></p><p>In its history, only a handful of spiritual leaders have inspired a joint resolution from the US Congress honoring their life and work, including Martin Luther King, Pope John II and Mother Theresa.</p><p></p><p>On Sunday, the Jathedar Sahib and Giani Ji attended a special Kirtan program in honor of the Siri Singh Sahib Ji at Hacienda de Guru Ram Das, where they both acknowledged the contributions of the Siri Singh Sahib to the Sikh Panth and to spreading the Guru’s teachings. They both gave inspirational addresses to the Sadh Sangat about working together to serve the mission of Sikh Dharma.</p><p></p><p>A reception was held on Sunday afternoon for the leaders of Sikh Dharma to meet with the Jathedar Sahib, which was attended by the board members, officers and CEO’s of the legacy organizations founded by the Siri Singh Sahib. In attendance were Bhai Sahiba Bibiji Inderjit Kaur, wife of the Siri Singh Sahib, and his children Kamaljit Kaur and Kulbir Singh, Siri Sikdar Sahiba Sardarni Guru Amrit Kaur Khalsa, Secretary General Gurujot Kaur Khalsa, SDI Board Chairman Kirtan Singh Khalsa, Siri Singh Sahib Corp President Gurujodha Singh Khalsa, SSSC Financial Secretary Guru Amrit Singh Khalsa, SSSC Executive Director Satwant Singh Khalsa and Chancellor Amrit Kaur Khalsa, as well as representatives from Sikhnet, Kundalini Research Institute (KRI), Healthy, Happy, Holy Organization International (3HO), Legacy of Yogiji (LYF) and Sikh Dharma Education International (SDEI).</p><p></p><p>On Monday morning the Jathedar Sahib and Giani Ji attended the Bhog of the Akhand Path of Siri Guru Granth Sahib, in the Siri Singh Sahib’s honor, which was attended by all honored guests and the Sadh Sangat.</p><p></p><p>The final event of the Barsi took place on the evening of October 6th. There was a memorial Gurdwara held. After the Gurdwara, hundreds of people participated in candlelight procession and meditation at the time of the Singh Sahib’s passing to celebrate his undying spirit.</p><p></p><p>The celebratory events during the weekend of Oct. 3-6 were live-streamed across the world via the Internet.
