This is the fifth post in a series for us to review and share each of our own understanding of the gurbani of Aasaa di Vaar in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.

ESSENCE: Guru Nanak Dev ji give reference to fables of Krishna and the enamored females in composition while likening earth, wind and such as ornaments. Guru ji state without wisdom all such is naught.

Guru ji refer to intense singing, dancing etc., antics. Guru ji note the goings on in human life like the making of oil, spinning of potter’s wheel, milling etc. Guru ji state that aside of it true wisdom gotten through contemplation upon and through the grace of the creator.

In the pauri Guru ji direct that all is wasteful if the creator is not so sought. Guru ji suggest humbleness, charitable dispositions since the time will not stop no matter what as no sooner we will be old and will comes to pass.

I stand corrected and all errors are mine.

Any thoughts and what you think.

    Sat Sri Akal.
