Nanak, seek such understanding of the creator’s treasure of virtues. Quote: ESSENCE: In the salok, Guru ji state that wandering all over I come under creator’s cover. There is just one request that the creator may link me to contemplation of the creator.
Guru Arjan Dev ji in Astpadi 20, 5th sabad suggest contemplation for self and associates. It is given utmost importance above all. It is a source of comfort, salvation and a way to find support and destination. Guru ji conclude that through contemplating virtues of the creator, much ills are destroyed. | Please note all errors are mine and I stand corrected.

Just a query on one line here. Reference:: Sikh Philosophy Network http://www.sikhphilosophy.net/sukhmani-sahib/38531-sukhmani-sahib-astpadi-20-sabad-5-a.html Sarab kali▫āṇ sūkẖ niḏẖ nām. Būdaṯ jāṯ pā▫e bisrām. Creator’s understanding is treasure of good fortune and comfort for all. One drowning finds support and destination
I'm trying to make more sense of the 2nd part. What does the 'drowning' imply.
Budat (to withdraw or drown or be lost ? )
Jat (physical being)
pa-e (to reach)
bisram ( to be at rest, or find support, settled)
Even the withdrawn or drowning can reach the calm and resting place.
Now, I'm getting a little confused here with the 'drowning' or withdrawn term used.( Budat)
I've tried reading again and again, but the question is 'what does the drowning or withdrawal mean'- is it being too self absorbed or lost in their own mind ? Reference:: Sikh Philosophy Network http://www.sikhphilosophy.net/showthread.php?t=38531
If so, then how can the lost or drowning one find a calm resting place with support ?
The answer may be real simple, but I'm getting off track with this one!!
I've even tried doing the whole shabad, but this line seems to throw me off. -I'm just not seeing something that's there- help!

I wonder if the following helps to clarify, Quote: Sarab kali▫āṇ sūkẖ niḏẖ nām. All joys and comforts are in the treasure of the Naam. Creator’s understanding is treasure of good fortune and comfort for all Būdaṯ jāṯ pā▫e bisrām. Even the drowning can reach the place of rest and safety. Sarab kali▫āṇ sūkẖ niḏẖ nām. Būdaṯ jāṯ pā▫e bisrām. Creator’s understanding is treasure of good fortune and comfort for all. One drowning finds support and destination | The drowning is symbolic or metaphric of "ignorance" or "living in ignorance".
There is little to no mention of after life or state after death in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji from what I have read. As such one's state after death is of little to no consideration. Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is about living including joyously, respectfully and content leading to the point of death. peacesign

I do actually see the message now. For some reason my approach was coming from the wrong angle, this was the reason that the one line kept throwing me off. I kept persistently trying with different approaches but wasn't getting close. Thanks for steering me towards the much clearer message.
