Salok.
Salok (Core theme of eight sabads/hymns in the Astpadi)

Āḏ sacẖ jugāḏ sacẖ. Hai bẖė sacẖ Nānak hosī bẖė sacẖ. ||1||
Present from the beginning, prevailing through the ages. Nanak, is present now and forever will be present.

Asatpaḏī.
Eight stanzas hymn

Ŧẖākur kā sevak āgi▫ākārī. Ŧẖākur kā sevak saḏā pūjārī.
Humble servant is obedient to the lord. Humble servant is always worshipper.

Ŧẖākur ke sevak kai man parṯīṯ. Ŧẖākur ke sevak kī nirmal rīṯ.
In humble servant’s mind is longing. Humble servant is pure in living.

Ŧẖākur ka▫o sevak jānai sang. Parabẖ kā sevak nām kai rang.
Humble servant sees such to be with self always. Creator’s humble servant lives in joy of understanding.

Sevak ka▫o parabẖ pālanhārā. Sevak kī rākẖai nirankārā.
Creator sustains the humble servant. Formless creator keeps humble servant’s honor.

So sevak jis ḏa▫i▫ā parabẖ ḏẖārai. Nānak so sevak sās sās samārai. ||3||
Only such is a humble servant that creator so gives blessing to. Nanak such humble servant remembers with breath after breath.
Quote:
ESSENCE: In the salok, Guru ji state the eternal truth prevailing and so prevailing forever from the past to the future.

Guru Arjan Dev ji in Astpadi 17, 3rd sabad describe the connection of one as a humble servant to the creator. Humble servant is obedient, worshipper, always longing, pure in living, sees creator to be by side always, gets joy from understanding. The creator sustains such humble servant, keeps one’s honor.

Guru ji conclude that one is humble servant from creator’s benevolence and such one is always remembering with every breath.
Please note all errors are mine and I stand corrected.

Sat Sri Akal.
