Salok.
Salok (Core theme of eight sabads/hymns in the Astpadi)

Rūp na rekẖ na rang kicẖẖ ṯarihu guṇ ṯe parabẖ bẖinn. Ŧisėh bujẖā▫e nānkā jis hovai suparsan. ||1||
Creator is devoid of three in form, shape and color. Nanak only such are provided understanding, whom such is pleased with.

Asatpaḏī.
Eight stanzas hymn

Jā kī līlā kī miṯ nāhi. Sagal ḏev hāre avgāhi.
No limit to the worldly game. Deities of the universe have given up searching.

Piṯā kā janam kė jānai pūṯ. Sagal paro▫ī apunai sūṯ.
What can a son know about father’s birth. All is strung on own thread.

Sumaṯ gi▫ān ḏẖi▫ān jin ḏe▫e. Jan ḏās nām ḏẖi▫āvahi se▫e.
Ones given higher intelligence, contemplative cognizance and concentration. Humble servants seek understanding of such.

Ŧihu guṇ mėh jā ka▫o bẖarmā▫e. Janam marai fir āvai jā▫e.
Such are tempted into three qualities. Born and dead and do so come and go.

Ūcẖ nīcẖ ṯis ke asthān. Jaisā janāvai ṯaisā Nānak jān. ||3||
High and low places belong to such. Nanak, how such imbues wisdom so one understands.
Quote:
ESSENCE: In the salok, Guru ji state that the creator has no form, shape or color and is understood by those so happily blessed.
Guru Arjan Dev ji in Astpadi 16, 3rd sabad describe the expanse of the creator. Limits cannot be defined even the deities having given up, all is strung like a necklace on a string, only such bestowed with capabilities so understand, trapped ones come and go in birth and death.

Guru ji conclude that the creator is found at the high and low places and as such so wishes one comes to know.
Please note all errors are mine and I stand corrected.

Sat Sri Akal.
