Salok.

Salok (Core theme of eight sabads/hymns in the Astpadi)

Man sācẖā mukẖ sācẖā so▫e. Avar na pekẖai ekas bin ko▫e.
One whose mind is pure, only can such can utter pure. None is seen other than one creator.

Nānak ih lacẖẖaṇ barahm gi▫ānī ho▫e. ||1||
Nanak, these are the attributes of such most learned

Asatpaḏī.
Eight stanzas hymn

Barahm gi▫ānī saḏā nirlep. Jaise jal mėh kamal alep.
Most learned is always untainted. Just like the lotus flower in water.

Barahm gi▫ānī saḏā nirḏokẖ. Jaise sūr sarab ka▫o sokẖ.
Most learned is without bad deeds. Just as the sun dries out all.

Barahm gi▫ānī kai ḏarisat samān. Jaise rāj rank ka▫o lāgai ṯul pavān.
Most learned sees all as equals. Just like the air which feels the same to a king or poor.

Barahm gi▫ānī kai ḏẖīraj ek. Ji▫o basuḏẖā ko▫ū kẖoḏai ko▫ū cẖanḏan lep.
Most learned is unwavering. Just as the earth is tilled by one and painted with sandal paste by other.

Barahm gi▫ānī kā ihai gunā▫o. Nānak ji▫o pāvak kā sahj subẖā▫o. ||1||
Most learned has this quality. Nanak as fire so naturally prevails.
Quote:
ESSENCE: In the salok, Guru ji talk about the esteemed wise. One with pure mind, pure speech and recognizing of but one creator.

Guru Arjan Dev ji in Astpadi 8, 1st stanza describe and further elaborate on the qualities of the esteemed wise. The esteemed wise is untainted with what surrounds, is impartial and sees all as equals without status, unwavering in all forms.

Guru ji conclude such are the qualities of esteemed wise and so naturally such one prevails.
Please note all errors are mine and I stand corrected.

Sat Sri Akal.

Man sācẖā mukẖ sācẖā so▫e. Avar na pekẖai ekas bin ko▫e.
One whose mind is pure, only can such can utter pure. None is seen other than one creator.

Only that mind/speech is truth, who realise "one" creator in all that appears

Nānak ih lacẖẖaṇ barahm gi▫ānī ho▫e. ||1||
Nanak, these are the attributes of such most learned

this are signs of humans with creator's awareness

Further elaborated signs of humans with creator's awareness
