Re: Can we Know HIM

Dear Khalsa ji

I think knowing God comes only when one becomes one with him or vice versa. I think there would be no other way and hence is different from knowing everything else.

Respected Khalsa /Gill sahib/ Amarsanghera jeo,
Reference:: Sikh Philosophy Network http://www.sikhphilosophy.net/showthread.php?t=17707

The only way that we can come to know of HIM will be possible if HE HIMSELF permit us to let HIM know.It is a sort of voluntary grace. There seems to be no other route as per my little understanding. Either we have to rise upto HIs level or He will have to come down to our level ,both of which seems an impossiblity.We can get acquainted with HIS attributes as per that is indicated in Gurbani.That is the way I see.

It sleepeth not for a moment:
At night when it cannot see,
It considers the Beloved, who is close to be far. (Sri Raag)

HE is now on our level, "close to be far". we are the ones who "consider" but "cannot see."
