Australian Sikhs: Be Counted This Census 9 August 2011!

Gurfateh my fellow Australian Sikhs

The Australian Bureau of Statistics national census will be conducted on Tuesday August 9, 2011.

According to the 2006 census there were only 26,429 Sikhs in Australia, even though the Sikh Council of Australia believe the number to be much higher.

Please remember to write SIKHISM when asked what your religion is.

Don't put "Sikhi" because the census tallies words that are the same and you won't be counted as Sikh!
