Gurmukhi Word Picture Dictionary With Phonetic English Equivalents

Gurmukhi is the Sikh language of prayer in which the Guru Granth Sahib, Sikhism's holy scripture is written. Sikhism requires a fundamental understanding of scripture and texts which necessitates learning Gurmukhi script closely related to the Punjabi alphabet. Gurmukhi words with phonetic English equivalents illustrated here are commonly used in Sikhism. Entries in this Gurmukhi glossary are arranged according to alphabetical order of the Gurmukhi script. This illustrated glossary of Gurmukhi words corresponds to the Sikhism picture dictionary of definitions where extended descriptions of terms and meanings can be found along with examples from Sikh scripture:
