Ang 634
Sorat'h, Ninth Mehl:
Oh Friend! In your mind firmly understand this thing, Reference:: Sikh Philosophy Network http://www.sikhphilosophy.net/gurmat-vichaar/38465-08-05-2012-daily-english-hukamnama.html
Reference:: Sikh Philosophy Network http://www.sikhphilosophy.net/showthread.php?t=38465
(That,) the whole world is bound with its own pleasures/happiness. No one ever becomes anyone’s companion to the end. Pause.
Oh Friend! When a person is in good times, then many friends come together and sit with him, keeping a circle around on all our four sides.
But when some adversity/distress comes to him, all companions leave, (then) no one comes near him.
Oh Friend! Your wife too, with whom you have great love, who stays attached to her husband,
at that very moment when the husband’s life and soul leave the body, at this/to it the wife shouts “keep away!” “keep away!” “he (the body) has died he has died”.
Oh Friend! This is the kind of custom the world has made, the world with whom the person has developed so much love,
But, Oh Nanak! At the final end moment apart from Vaheguru no other can help the person. Do you agree or disagree with the writer above? Why not share your immediate thoughts with us! Login Now! or Sign Up Today! to share your views... Gurfateh! |
