Interjection Saloks 113-117.
Ḏāṯī sāhib sanḏī▫ā ki▫ā cẖalai ṯis nāl. Ik jāganḏe nā lahniĥ iknĥā suṯi▫ā ḏe▫e uṯẖāl. ||113||
Gifts are of the creator, what can you do to so. Some awake don’t get, some asleep are so awakened.

Dẖūdẖeḏī▫e suhāg kū ṯa▫o ṯan kā▫ī kor. Jinĥā nā▫o suhāgaṇī ṯinĥā jẖāk na hor. ||114||
Looking for the spouse you have some deficiency. One called happily married, don’t look at others.

Sabar manjẖ kamāṇ e sabar kā nīhṇo. Sabar sanḏā bāṇ kẖālak kẖaṯā na karī. ||115||
Contentment is the bow, contentment is the pull string. Contentment is the arrow, creator won’t let miss the target.

Sabar anḏar sābrī ṯan evai jāleniĥ. Hon najīk kẖuḏā▫e ḏai bẖeṯ na kisai ḏen. ||116||
Within contentment is contented, so tirelessly burning in contemplation. Getting closer to the creator, don’t disclose the secret to anyone.

People, contentment is such target if so strictly adhered. Grows into a river and not break into a little stream.

Quote:
Farīḏā ḏarvesī gākẖ▫ṛī cẖopṛī parīṯ. Ikan kinai cẖālī▫ai ḏarvesāvī rīṯ. ||118||
Farid, pious living is hard, loving superficially. Rare are ones who carried out pious living ways.
Interjection Sloaks 119-130
Ŧan ṯapai ṯanūr ji▫o bālaṇ had balaʼnniĥ. Pairī thakāʼn sir julāʼn je mūʼn pirī milaʼnniĥ. ||119||
Body heated like oven, bones burning as be firewood. Walking on feet, if tired, walk on my head if loved could meet.

Ŧan na ṯapā▫e ṯanūr ji▫o bālaṇ had na bāl. Sir pairī ki▫ā feṛi▫ā anḏar pirī nihāl. ||120||
Don’t heat body like oven, don’t burn bones like firewood. Head and feet did not mess up, look insider for the loved.

Ha▫o dẖūdẖeḏī sajṇā sajaṇ maide nāl. Nānak alakẖ na lakẖī▫ai gurmukẖ ḏe▫e ḏikẖāl. ||121||
Looking for companion, companion inside me. Nanak, attribute less cannot be ascertained, the creator so makes to see.

Hansā ḏekẖ ṯaranḏi▫ā bagā ā▫i▫ā cẖā▫o. Dub mu▫e bag bapuṛe sir ṯal upar pā▫o. ||122||
Seeing the swans swim, the cranes got excited. Poor cranes died with heads below and feet up.

I thought such to be grand swan, so I copied. If had known to be a crane, never would have gotten close.

Ki▫ā hans ki▫ā bagulā jā ka▫o naḏar ḏẖare. Je ṯis bẖāvai nānkā kāgahu hans kare. ||124||
What swan, what crane if so blesses such. Nanak, if so wishes, can turn crows into swans.

Sarvar pankẖī hekṛo fāhīvāl pacẖās. Ih ṯan lahrī gad thi▫ā sacẖe ṯerī ās. ||125||
One bird in the pool, fifty trappers. This body is trapped in swells, hope it to be the true one.

Kavaṇ so akẖar kavaṇ guṇ kavaṇ so maṇī▫ā manṯ. Kavaṇ so veso ha▫o karī jiṯ vas āvai kanṯ. ||126||
What letter, what attribute, what magical script. What style to adopt so the spouse comes under control.

Nivaṇ so akẖar kẖavaṇ guṇ jihbā maṇī▫ā manṯ. Ė ṯarai bẖaiṇe ves kar ṯāʼn vas āvī kanṯ. ||127||
Humbleness is the letter, support is the attribute, tongue speaking sweet the magical script. Adopt three in style, then you will control the spouse.

Maṯ hoḏī ho▫e i▫āṇā. Ŧāṇ hoḏe ho▫e niṯāṇā.
Besides wisdom, be simple. Being powerful, be powerless.

Aṇhoḏe āp vandā▫e. Ko aisā bẖagaṯ saḏā▫e. ||128||
With nothing to give, share yourself. Such one is the so called pious follower.

Don’t use even one rude word, the true creator in all. Don’t hurt anyone’s heart, all priceless pearls.

Sabẖnā man māṇik ṯẖāhaṇ mūl macẖāʼngvā. Je ṯa▫o pirī▫ā ḏī sik hi▫ā▫o na ṯẖāhe kahī ḏā. ||130||
Minds of all pearls, hurting at all is not good. If you desire to meet the beloved, then don’t break anyone’s heart.

Quote:
ESSENCE: In this post only sloak 118 has Baba Farid ji’s salutation or flag. In this sloal Baba Farid ji state that pious living is ever so hard while fake and superficial is so much carried out. Baba Farid ji state that such few are those who piously carry out their lives.

In Saloks 113 to 117 Guru Arjan Dev ji link to blessings and awareness. For example Gur ji state that blessing is of the creator and some ever so awake may not receive while other are awoken to receive from sleep. Seeking versus finding within is our own short coming or deficiency. Contentment is the one great virtue that will allow one to focus and not miss the desired target. Guru ji state that many so contented go their ways versus publicizing all such achievement. Contentment is fundamental to growth versus the facing failure in minimizing oneself.

Guru ji refer back to the metaphoric use of body as an oven and the bones being firewood all ever so hot starting at Sloak 119. Guru ji say one should do all in developing understanding of the creator versus be so easily tired. Guru ji also state that all this hot and bothered state to seek out the creator is futile when the loved creator so resides in us all. Guru ji state in Sloak 121 that creator’s blessing so enables us to see versus impossibility to see the infinite.

Guru ji in Sloaks 122 to 125 use metaphorically the situation of swans and cranes coming to a pool without knowing what the pool was and how deep. As the swans float away the cranes are stuck with their head sin the shallow pool bottom. The cranes so regret their assumptions and the reasons to foolishly copy to seek. Guru ji metaphorically describe how it matters not if the creator so blesses as the crows could become swans if one such wished. The essence is copycat ways and false assumptions thinking one will get what others are perceived to have. Guru ji wish that while one so entrapped still hopes of true creator to come and help.

Guru Arjan Dev ji address in Sloaks 126 to 128 some common inquiries one may have. Is their a word, is there a script, is their a style of persona to adopt so that the creator be so understood. Guru ji answer that humbleness is the letter, living as supported by the creator and speaking so sweetly the magical script that brings closer to creator’s understanding. Humbleness is besides wisdom being as though without, being strong but acting as having no power, being benevolent even when have nothing even if to share self in such situation. Hence the life of a pious follower of the creator.
Guru ji in final Sloaks 129 and 130 guide one to be not rude to anyone as all are priceless pearls of the creator. Repeating all with minds pure as pearls so don’t hurt if you truly seek to understand the creator.
This concludes this series of posts by myself covering all of Baba Farid ji's Bani in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.

Please note all errors are mine and I stand corrected.

Sat Sri Akal.
