ਸਲੋਕੁ ॥
Salok.
Salok (Core theme of eight sabads/hymns in the Astpadi)

ਪੂਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਆਰਾਧਿਆ ਪੂਰਾ ਜਾ ਕਾ ਨਾਉ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਪੂਰਾ ਪਾਇਆ ਪੂਰੇ ਕੇ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਉ ॥੧॥
Pūrā parabẖ ārāḏẖi▫ā pūrā jā kā nā▫o. Nānak pūrā pā▫i▫ā pūre ke gun gā▫o. ||1||
Complete creator contemplated, complete so is known. Nanak, found the complete one, sing virtues of so complete.

ਅਸਟਪਦੀ॥
Asatpaḏī.
Eight stanzas hymn

ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਸੁਨਿ ਉਪਦੇਸੁ ॥ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਨਿਕਟਿ ਕਰਿ ਪੇਖੁ ॥
Pūre gur kā sun upḏes. Pārbarahm nikat kar pekẖ.
Listen to the teaching of the complete creator. See the supreme creator ever so close.

ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਸਿਮਰਹੁ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ॥ ਮਨ ਅੰਤਰ ਕੀ ਉਤਰੈ ਚਿੰਦ ॥
Sās sās simrahu gobinḏ. Man anṯar kī uṯrai cẖinḏ.
Breath and with each breath, so remember the creator of the universe. Anxiety inside of the mind so removed.

ਆਸ ਅਨਿਤ ਤਿਆਗਹੁ ਤਰੰਗ ॥ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਕੀ ਧੂਰਿ ਮਨ ਮੰਗ ॥
Ās aniṯ ṯi▫āgahu ṯarang. Sanṯ janā kī ḏẖūr man mang.
Expectations of the perishables, so discard such stream of thoughts. Mind, seek the dust from the feet of the humble pious learned.

ਆਪੁ ਛੋਡਿ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਹੁ ॥ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਅਗਨਿ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਤਰਹੁ ॥
Āp cẖẖod benṯī karahu. Sāḏẖsang agan sāgar ṯarahu.
Get rid of meism, so request. With the company of the pious swim the ocean of fire.

ਹਰਿ ਧਨ ਕੇ ਭਰਿ ਲੇਹੁ ਭੰਡਾਰ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ॥੧॥
Har ḏẖan ke bẖar leho bẖandār. Nānak gur pūre namaskār. ||1||
Fill the stores with understanding of the creator. Nanak, respectfully salutes the complete creator.

ESSENCE: In the salok of final Astpadi 24th, Guru ji state the completeness of creator. So finding the complete one in contemplation, now to sing virtues of such complete one.

Guru Arjan Dev ji in Astpadi 24, 1st sabad state to listen to the teachings of the complete creator and finding such ever so close. Remember with every breath and anxieties subside. Delink from the worldly perishables and link with the humble pious. Discard the ego and in the company of the learned traverse the most difficult of paths.

Guru ji conclude that let the understanding of the creator be wealth stowed and so be respects to the complete creator.
