    First, you don't have to delete it, you can use a select query to return the
    right data

    SELECT Mid([FieldName],InStr([FieldName],"/")+1) AS NewField
    FROM TableName

    But, if you want to update the field, first back up

    UPDATE TableName SET TableName.FieldName = Mid([FieldName ],InStr([FieldName
    ],"/")+1)
