Mandi Gobindgarh, Jan 23: To save the local steel and iron industry from unhealthy competition due to cheap imports, Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today categorically announced that the government will give preference to the state-based industry for bulk purchase of steel-related items.
