POPULATION: 160 million, 97 percent Muslim, with Christian, Hindu and Sikh minorities. Main ethnic groups are Punjabis, Pashtuns, Sindhis, Baluch and Mohajirs. All the ethnic groups speak different languages but Urdu is the national language.
